An Unlikely Pair

3| boy oh boy

After sipping away on bottles of wine, and beer bottles; you could say there were looser. Lighter.

They weren't worried about making perfect first impressions anymore. Mainly because they were just a wee bit under the influence of alcohol, and of course, romance.
Taylor had her chin on her knee, looking at Travis and smiles a bit at him.

"Dontttt you have a game in the morning?"
I say while glancing at my wine glass smiling and teasing him a bit.
"Well yeah but that's not til like three in the afternoon, and it's only twelve" he says while setting his beer bottle down and leaning in a bit. Holy shit. He was leaning in.

I look between his lips and his eyes. Trying to decide which to focus on.
"Which means you should get a good nights sleep"
I focus in on his eyes. And oh my god were they so so incredibly perfect. I just pat his chest and run my hand down it looking back at him. Not his eyes or lips or anything else. Just him as a whole.
"I should go, I don't want you to bomb a game cause you're hungover" I smile at him and lean back against the arm rest of the couch sipping my wine.
He wasn't breaking eye contact.
He wasn't even moving away.
I look at him for a few second then set my glass down and put my elbow on my knee, resting my hand on my palm.
"I'll be alright, I'm a big boy I can handle a few bottles" he says as he brushes his thumb against my cheek.

Holy.shit.

I can't even get my words to come out above a whisper.
"You swear?" I whisper out while looking into his eyes.

"Swear." He says as he cups my face and kisses me.
I kiss back and hold the back of his neck and slide my other hand down his chest.
And let me tell you, it was amazing.

They were more than happy to be against eachother on his couch.
It didn't feel as if they had only stared talking a few hours ago. It felt like it had been years.

Taylor was in his lap when he got a knock on his door.
She pulled away slowly after the person knocked a second time and looked between his eyes and lips.
"I'll be right here, just go answer it really fast"
She rubs his cheeks, and the lipstick off his lips with her thumb before climbing off his lap and sitting on the couch.

He fixes his shirt and taps her chin then gets to the door and opens it.
It was a teammate asking if he wanted to go out a bar for a bit with a few other guys.
"Nah man, I'm all good."
He says while starting to shut the door
"I was about to head to sleep but have fun alright?" He daps the guy up and shuts the door.

"See, that took no time-"
Before Taylor could even finish her sentence, Travis picked her up kissing her.
And boy, oh boy, did she kiss back while he made his way to his room, holding her.
