A taste of despair

chapter 1.

AUTHORS NOTE: if you see me quietly updating this fic, it's because uhh yeah. It's been 4 years almost and I've decided I'll rewrite a taste of despair from whatever I had going on for it. Some trigger warnings, there's mentions of abuse from Kazuichis dad

Another thing to add I'm not that into Danganronpa. But I do still care for kazuichi and Gundam, so like I said this fanfic will be updated here and there.

This is revisioned aswell, as mentioned. Kazuichi and gundham know OF eachother, but they aren't friends at all. This could be slow burn or however.

The loud sound of hopes peak academies bell rang throughout the school, Kazuichi whom was just heading out looked to be in a rush.

He ran out of the classroom, and rushed to the lockers. He'd hoped things would go smoothly just so his dad wouldn't find out how late he was, the bruises he'd gotten previously were a pain to cover up.

Kazuichi was in so much of a rush he didn't register that SLAM! He ran right into another student, lord he wished it wasn't him

Gundham Tanaka. Kazuichi was mortified by what he'd just done, moreso he didn't want to get chewed out by the breeder AT ALL for anything, so he quickly said sorry as he rushed himself to the nearest bus stop, hoping the other man wouldn't mind.

Until he heard gundhams voice boom from afar. "SOUDA" he yelled, a growl of sorts as kazuichi panicked the bus was just now starting to pull up, he was nervous whether Tanaka was going to smite him or his dad was going to beat his ass for being late.

He felt as if his life depended on that bus, but alas he was too late.

"You insolent fool! How dare you strike against me?! And not even properly apologize-" "S-Sorry! Tanaka please I have to go- I can't be late, my dad will kill me-" "Nonsense you can stay a bit. You will apologize properly-"

The two went back in forth, the bus only now pulling up but with the way they bickered, kazuichi ended up missing the bus. Gundham only then finished his rambles, Souda wasn't pleased.

"YOU- FUCK! I MISSED MY BUS BECAUSE OF YOU" kazuichi snapped, clearly on panic mode now, tears looked like they wanted to fall. "If you had apologized properly maybe you would've caught it earlier."

"I would've CAUGHT IT IF YOU'D- AGHHHH" he yelled out, "MY DAD IS GOING TO KILL ME!" 

Kazuichi was absolutely crushed, and he ended up shutting down even more, so he just balled up on the sidewalk and rocked himself, not registering Tanaka still being there.

Tanaka peered down at him, his eyebrows furrowing, well, lack there OF. Gundham fidgeted with his scarf, not really sure what Souda was so worked up, why was he so worried about his father?

"Mortal Souda, what is it that you're worried about." He asked, it was kind of weird how quickly he changed his demeanor, "My- hic dad-" kazuichi sobbed, "he's going to beat my ass when I'm late from school" 

Tanaka was puzzled, did kazuichi not have a good father? "That isn't good." He thought aloud, "well nno shit. Fuck I don't even know what I'm going to say" "Maybe.. don't go?" He suggested, "you mean.. not go home?"

"Yes. That is what I mean"

Kazuichi looked up, unraveling himself from the ball, he sniffled. "I mean.. I guess.. but I'm just, scared he might contact me" Tanaka tilted his head in confusion"He hasn't right now?" "I mean, later"

The two sat in silence for a couple of minutes, unsure what to say. The bustle of hopes peak was quieted down now and mostly it was just the two boys there. "If it fears you so much, I do not mind if you wanted to stay at my quarters, mortal Souda." He suggested, unsure what to say.

"Would it bother you? I don't think I should, I mean I'm gross and it's-" "'Tis no problem, it is my fault mayhaps, I'm merely making up for it. You could tend to yourself there"

So, that's what's going to happen, huh..?
