It's been about a week since the incident with Jason and I hate the feeling I get around him now.
I applied just enough makeup to cover the huge bruise on my cheek and black eye.
When I arrived at the hospital I checked my phone once more before heading up to the surgery floor.
Emily hadn't messaged me yet so I knew the case she was working on must be big.
I pushed the 4th floor on the elevator and road up silently.
I went up to the nurses station and grabbed my first chart of the day.
I walked into the patients room with interns behind me and smiled at the woman in the hospital bed.
" Mathews Present." I said looking at one of the four interns standing infront of me.
" June Delaney age 45 came in 3 days ago and had an Emergency Thoracotomy after falling off a roof, thankfully Dr Madden along with the help of Doctor Summers the hemorrhaging that was caused by the fall." Mathew's finished.
After going over treatment plans with about 10 more patients I finally got a break.
I found an empty on call room and layed down on the bed that was in the room.
I layed in silence for about 20 minutes before my pager went off.
I looked down at my pager and seen Jason Paging me 911.
It must be serious if he's paging me 911...
I thought to myself as I ran to the OR.
When I got there I rushed to scrub in before assisting Jason who looked scared shitless.
Just then the patient started coding.
" what do we have." I asked gloving up.
" 26 year old male who was hit by a semi... I-I can't figure out the source of the bleeding." Jason said grabbing more clamps and gauze.
I reached my hand inside the patient and tried to find the source of the bleeding.
" I got it! His Spleen is hemorrhaging clamp!" I yelled at the scrub nurse who handed me a clamp.
After performing a Splenectomy on the patient he was finally stable enough to be sent up to the ICU.
After scrubbing out, I walked out of the OR and Hurd Jason calling my name.
" Anna wait up!" He yelled.
I immediately tensed up still scared after what happened not even a week ago.
" hey.." Jason said stopping me.
" yes?" I mumbled hoping he would just leave me alone.
" hey don't act like that." He said shaking his head grabbing my hand.
I snatched my arm away from him and started walking the other direction.
" what the hell is your problem??" Jason yelled at me.
" my problem?" I asked sarcastically.
