Earth's POV:
I picked CJ up cause the air near the stage was cold, and I carried him to my tree and sat there with him in my lap. His head was near my chest as I looked around, I knew Popcorn was up so i wanted to hide. Am I really that arrogant that people despise me..? I thought as it crossed my head my eyes widened. It was. I pulled CJ closer to me as my breathing picked up. "Earth..?" he spoke wearily.
"I- I" I stammered. Everyone hates me! EVEN MY OWN COUSINS HATE ME.
"Hey! Hey! What's..." He fell silent but ended up moving next to me. The rest was a blur as I shut my eyes tight and just cried.
CJ's POV:
I pulled them to my chest and they cried, a lot... I decided I'd calm them down.
"Tears squeezed out the petrified, mouth said that our love won't die. Between those teeth is a rotten lie. Exasperation hit me like a thousand times. Suggest that I walk your line... Complex to collect your lie~ And behind that smack was a simple pain~ Simple is wrong inside of your noble brain~ Rolling in the nonsense, Deploy the fantasy. For the horrors in which I find hard to believe~" i repeated. "It's all over no need to take cover~"
"I know what Psyche means... Sophisticated since I turned sixteen... Read that book till my face turned blue~ ran down the streets screaming 'look what I can do!' Go ahead try and catch me now... Ran faster than the past... Every little glance gets a mark on the bed... Close my eyes and deny just like my mama did~" Earth sang quietly as I continued the chorus.
"Oh, but I-I-I, Live so simple, on the si-i-ide. Takin' my love up on a ri-i-ide. Hidin' the part nobody hi-i-ides. I wonder why, I wonder why-oh-y. I keep my secrets outsi-i-ide. Airin' em out, now open wi-i-de. Hidin' the part nobody hi-i-ides"
"Am I a lie?" They whispered and we sang in sync with the chorus again. Earth seemed to be asleep after that and I was too.
Normal POV [ Morning ]:
Earth realized they had fell asleep in CJ's arms. "CRAP-" Earth pulled away and CJ slowly blinked his eyes open.
"GAH—" CJ and Earth scrambled away from each other but Earth glanced back at him, he was warm... THE HECK AM I SAYING. I. HATE... wait...
"I-" Earth shifted uneasily. "Sorry..."
"It's fine."
"what?"
"Your. Fine."
. . .
"Earth?" CJ's voice was drowned out by this loud ringing in their ear. They winced in pain covering their ears realizing a BUNCH of screaming took place. "AYE, SHUT-"
"COME HERE YOU TWO." CJ guided Earth there and their eye widened as they saw.
File.
Dead. On the grass and dead.
"FILE?!" Earth ran over, they had a rocky relationship with her but as they reached her Catcard stepped forward.
"Step away from her." She hissed. Blood seeped from an open wound in File's stomach.
"I'LL ONLY GO AWAY IF I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED." Earth demanded.
"You." Catcard pointed to Granite.
"What?!" Granite had left the night before to go see his elder brother, Stone, as Stone hasn't been in the best shape. "I was with Stone. YOU KNOW THIS."
"Really?" Catcard challenged.
"It was Cactus." A voice rang out over the others. Everyone turned to Pistachio. "Cactus killed her, broke the recovery center, then tried to blame her cousin."
"I- can fix the center." Earth voiced.
"THEN DO IT." CatCard yowled,
