Destiny shuts her eyes as she switches off her phone after her little convo with Lani. She thinks about the adventures waiting ahead for the week as she drifts off. She thinks of one more thing before she could fall asleep, that boy from the shops. Before she can fall into a deep slumber, she feels a hot breath on her neck.
Destiny's POV
I feel a warm breath on my neck but ignore it thinking I'm tweaking. A little faint sigh echoed around the room. I jump up scared that there's a serial killer in my room ready to kill me, or an actual monster that will eat me if I look it in the eyes, let's be fr that'll never happen but honestly, the possibility of who or what is in my room making those sounds and breathing so close to my neck are endless.
The lights flicker on making me flinch just to see my little brother with the widest smile on his face knowing very well, how much he scared me. I tap the side of my bed signaling him to jump into my covers because I know he's here to Yap and spew absolute nonsense for the next hour. I really don't mind but dammit just when I was about to go to sleep.
I haven't had a proper conversation with Mateo since the airport, I wonder how he feels about moving and all the other stuff. For someone who can Yap all day, he's been really quiet. This could also be a great time to ask him why he was so shocked when that dude came to ask me for my number, I mean shi I'm not that ugly.
"Destiny, HELLO!?" Mateo says snapping me out of my thoughts, and trying to gain my attention and focus. "Finally," he says rolling his eyes, sometimes I wonder where he got the right to give me so much attitude like, who tf is this boy feeling like?
"What do you wanna tell me, I'm tired as hell and my first day of Uni is tomorrow," I say as he gives me the deadliest stank eye known to man.
"I just wanted you to ask your new friend for Real Madrid game tickets for Saturday's game, the game is in two days and if I don't get them now I won't be able to watch it," he says looking kinda sad which breaks my heart. " I asked Mom and she said no, so can you please ask him" Mateo had the biggest smile on his face, but also a desperate look, you can see the desperation on his face.
" See I would help you but I don't know what real Madrid is, and I don't know anybody here so what friend do you speak of?" I say giving him a confused look which he returned with sass, as if what I just said sounded stupid asf
" how do u not know what Real Madrid is, it's a soccer team," he says giving me another stupid look. "The Big soccer team that your friend plays for" he adds on like that was going to help because like I said I don't know anybody here. "THE FLIPPING DUDE THAT YOU MET TODAY THE ONE THAT ASKED FOR YOUR NUMBER DESTINY!" He says looking so annoyed, I clock who he's talking about, I shoot him an understanding look and he seems to calm down. Destiny slowly realises who the boy her lil brother is talking about. She gets confused as to why her brother would ask her such a question, but she brushes it off. " Mateo please go to sleep bruv ain't nobody got time for this shit, ill try convince mom for you later just not right now"
Mateo leaves the room and heads to bed. I shut my eyes and all I can think about is the boy, I can't remember his name but, I really hope he send me a message soon.
