Acting Off

As I walked through the halls I felt empty, usually Audrey or Georg would've come up to me by now.

"Where the fuck are these dickheads" I sighed talking to myself, "Only five minutes until homeroom... Maybe I could just.."

I darted into the bathrooms and entered a stall. I tried to keep to myself as much as I could, those toilets were fucking disgusting, don't even get me started on the smell. I pulled out my phone from my back pocket and started texting Audrey.

Fuck, can this day get any worse?

I would've texted her back a nasty ridicule about leaving me here by myself, until I heard the bell for homeroom. I groan and leave the grubby bathroom stall. How dare she put me through homeroom alone. I grumpily open the door to my class and notice that the only desk left was at the front.

And it was next to that bitch Lara.

Lara and I don't mix well, and we haven't since year 7.

"Where is your little 'crew'. Coming to homeroom alone these days?" She leans forward and smirks at me.

Ugh I can't stand her!

"Yeah" I say shifting my whole body around to face her. "When are you gonna start?"

Her smile immediately drops and she leans back in her seat, "Hmph"

I turned around, smiling at the fact that she was humbled.

The rest of homeroom dragged on. I put my head on the desk and waited for time to pass, which was rudely interrupted by the bitch behind me. She obviously got a kick out of tugging on my hair. I wanted to turn around and punch her, but the bell decided to go. That's when I noticed Audrey was next to me.

"Nice of you to show up." I say to her while we put on our backpacks and start to walk out of class.

She lets out a chuckle and we are now on our way to our lockers to collect our science textbooks. As we approach our lockers I see Georg. Where the fuck has he been?

"Oh what a great surprise" I whisper to Audrey before we walk to Georg.

Audrey again lightly chuckles and looks down to her feet.

Is she okay? She's usually not this drowsy.

When we reach Georg, he gives me a playful smile and hands his science books to a confused Audrey. He suddenly picks me up, throws me over his shoulder and spins around.

"Well hello to you too" I giggle as he puts me down.

That was a bit too much for school, usually our greetings are a lot more nonchalant. They both seem kinda off today. When Audrey is finished at her locker we start making our way to class.

"Can you save us a spot Georg, I just need to tell Audrey something real quick" I tell Georg outside of the classroom.

He smiles and goes to find us all a seat in class. I turn to Audrey who is already looking at me with confusion.

"What's going on with you, you seem quiet and I don't like it." I say.

"I have something on my mind. I'll tell you at lunch" She replies back with a grin and then walks into class.

Of course she needs to wait until lunch, everybody just needs to wait till fucking lunch.

I just want her to tell me now. I could already tell it was about a boy, Audrey tends to be head over heels in love with many guys. You see, last month it was a boy called Josh, then the next week a guy called Gustav, who knows who it could be now.
