trope: one night stand

today marks the beginning of summer break

after a longg year of university work, i'm finally get to have a ton of rest

although i still have some summer assignments i need to finish, i'd still leave it until the last couple of days before the deadline

i just need that fucking rest.

3:15 pm

i felt a light slap on my back

"dude, you're coming to that party tonight right?"
my buddy, mingyu said

i give him a quick glance while i'm still shoving my books into my bag
"what party?"

"didn't you read the group chat?
minghao's hosting a party at his place tonight at 9.
first night of summer break, dude"
he said

"i guess i didn't.

i'm not coming."

mingyu scrunched his eyebrows
"you're kidding right?...

you're gonna missed all the fun.
the party would be boring without you.."

"well then, let it be boring.
besides i'm busy."
i said walking past him

"look, i know you're tired, man,
so am i..
but a couple of kids aren't gonna continue to study here, in this university next semester, so..
people are thinking, this might be our last night together..
you know, before we went our separate ways..?"

his statement made me stop in my tracks

what he said was correct. some of our friends will no longer continue their scholarships next semester because their quitting school. which means we probably wont be able to see eachother anymore after that.

maybe i can spare some time just for tonight, i still have a whole 3 months for resting anyway

"fine.

but you're picking me up tonight"

at my dorm room, i started packing some stuff i need to bring home with me.
i'll be leaving in two days since i am spending my summers at home with my family

after packing for hours, i finally got myself to get ready for the party.
mingyu said he'd pick me up at 8:30 and minghao's place is a 15 minutes drive from my dorm.

tonight i wear a black polo shirt, white shorts and a white pair of sneakers.
i didn't have much to wear since most of my clothes are in the luggage i'm currently packing

i combed my black locks with my fingers, when someone knocked the door

"dude, let's go, we're late"

at minghao's place, there were so many cars parked around the neighborhood and the place is packed with people.

and to be honest, i wasn't in the best mood to be around so many people tonight,
except my friends of course, i don't know what i'm gonna do without them.

after greeting some of my friends around the living room,
i decided to go upstairs to where all the bedrooms are.

minghao's place is huge and packed with bedrooms, so sometimes we all like to stay at his place and live there like we pay the rent,

i even have my own guest room which i picked out a long time ago,

the room is a decent size, it has a bed, a desk and a small closet where i put some of my clothes i purposely left out. so everytime i stay at his place, i wouldn't have to bring any clothes from my dorm
