trope: (slow burn) marriage of convenience, opposites attract (introvert x extrovert)

it's been nearly 3 months since i married the girl my parents had arranged me with

3 months living in the same roof with her and we've barely talked to each other.

as far as i know, we don't know each other and we don't know about each other.

although we are husband and wife,
we don't share a room together.
i live in the first floor of the mansion while she lives in the second floor.

and this marriage is driving me crazy.
a couple months ago, the day before my grandfather passed, he said he wanted me to get married as soon as possible and enhance our family tree

my father on the other hand, had arranged my marriage far before my grandfather had gone sick

this girl that he picked is a daughter of one of his best colleagues

he could've let me choose who i want to marry but no, it was always his choice that i can only chose.

and this girl,
there is always something about her that makes me curious

like how she always packs lunch for me every morning before i left for work

and the way she always says 'goodnight' every night before she goes upstairs.
those little things i adore so much from her.

some nights i would feel stimulated and aroused. and usually, before marriage, i would go to the nearest club and and satisfy my needs there.
but now that i'm married, i would never do such thing.

not to her

so i'd hop in the shower and, imagining what it would've been like if she was there with me.

this morning, i was getting ready for work as usual, the maid prepared my coffee and i'm ready to go, but something's feels off.

my lunch is missing.

usually it would be on the kitchen island, but it's not there

"maid,"
i call one of our servants

"yes, sir?"

"did y/n left early today?"
i asked

the maid thinks for a second
"i'm afraid i haven't seen her this morning, sir."

hmm, thats odd

"very well."

i guess my wife decided to forgot about me today

too bad,
lunch is always the best part of the day during my work in the office.

i guess i have to grab a bite some place today

in the office, i did my work like usual, mostly signing papers and documents.

it's only a few minutes before lunchtime and i have never been this uninterested in lunch before, knowing that i have to find something to eat.

*knock knock*

i stop my activity and stare at the door across where i'm sitting
