Book 1 Chapter 1 Origins

Our Story begins at a city in ruins buildings destroyed smoke and fire everywhere we cut to a fortress where we see a mysterious girl in armored clothing with a small group of people surrounding a fire

*sigh* "well here we are" the mysterious girl said "you seem unsettled" her friend said with concerned in her voice "how can I not? I mean after everything that has happened the last few years I'm worried that maybe this isn't gonna end the way we'd hope it would" "I have faith I mean with him on our side we're sure to win haven't you heard the stories we're practically unbeatable" her friend said with such confidence in her voice "haha yeah your right let's get some rest tomorrows a big day" as the mysterious girl puts out the fire the smoking cutting to black.

We fade to our hero Adam a 15 year old boy with a determination to do good while telling terrible jokes and bringing justice to the people who dare threaten the City now in a much more happy and prosperous light

After a long day of helping the city in anyway he could we see Adam entering his Apartment and setting down his gear

"Man what a day" he said with tiredness in his voice we see a light in his small living room turn on "glad to know your home safe" said a female voice Adam gasped and let out a small shriek "Jesus Stacy don't scare me like that I know your my "older Sister" and all but you gotta warn me the next time you enter my apartment" he told the girl who we see isn't his biological sister "yeah YOUR apartment may I remind you who's the one paying for this place Adam I'm telling you if you just come with me to HQ I can set you up with a team of your own and a hell of a lot more nicer place than this" she said while disgustingly judging Adam's apartment "look it's not that I'm not grateful for you looking out for me as a kid and taking me in it's just after being alone my whole life I'm a bit scared to get into a crowd with people" he said with a bit of sadness in his voice

"Adam do you remember the story I told you when I first found you" Stacy said sitting down on one of Adam chair ready to tell a story "yeah yeah I know you say it all the time when your gonna give me some lecture" Adam said tired of hearing the same story again "yeah we'll get comfortable cause here's another lecture"

*flashback*

we cut to a raining night two people wondering a forest in cloaks a short young woman and a taller older man the girl puts down her hood revealing a younger Stacy

"Dad Dad! I think we're here" she shouted in excitement "haha alright now sweetheart don't get to carried away" the man who is revealed to be Stacy's father said "Come onnnn it has to be here somewhere if we're gonna help make you feel better we have to-" Stacy's sentence is cut off by a cry in the distance "what was that?" She said "it sounds like a baby come on we need to help it" Stacy's Father said running towards the crying, they both find a pedestal's with a brown basket in the middle big enough to fit a baby Stacy picks up the baby who we see is Adam

"who would leave a baby here alone in the cold like that?" She said in a furious saddened voice "I don't think any ONE left him here" Stacy's father said while looking at a painting telling of a prophecy it states that the Universe created a child born of pure light destined to bring peace and to become the embodiment of all that is pure in this world to defeat the coming darkness Stacy and her father both looked at each other in shocked agreeing to take the child and raise it to reach its destiny

"so you see Adam that's why it's great for you to join a team to have others help you because your very special" Stacy said while putting her hand on Adams shoulder Adam sighed "Alright let's go check this out then"

We cut to a house in a neighborhood as Adam and Stacy both enter the building Adam thinks to himself "the house is very well kept spacious but not exactly where any team would use as a base"

"well you were right about one thing the place is a lot more nicer than my apartment" Adam said teasingly "laugh it up kid but the real surprise is over here"

as Stacy opens a door revealing an elevator the two enter it takes them down to a huge basement full of gear computers and many rooms "woah! This place is huge" Adam said in shocked "yeah this place is great Dad had it made a while ago it was supposed to be a school for gifted kids with abilities like you but there's not much out there like you and me, that's why I turned it into mines and the few I could find own person hideout"

"Abilities? The only thing I can do is just a backflip and most of the time I land on my face and all I got is this rusty sword I don't have any powers what makes me so special?" Adam exclaimed with such confusion and self doubt "I believe you do have them all it takes is just a little "Motivation" Stacy said hiding a sinister grin her motives are becoming more clearer she has plans for Adam dark plans and she knows that because of Adam's fate she'll need to find a way to push him to his limits

As the two are walking down the hall they pass by an open room where we see a man with ginger hair and a lab coat working on some sort of machine

"Who's that?" Adam asked "Oh that's Dr Clementine he helps with making all this stuff you see the computers and any other technological stuff if you need help with anything he's your guy" she said while looking at Clementine with a bit of annoyance in her voice and hatred in her eyes Adam looked confused but ignored it

"So this is where we meet up everyday we do briefings and look around what's happening in the city" we see 4 people same age if not a bit more older than Adam they all turn to him introducing themselves "HEY NICE TO MEET YOU IM KEVIN I LOVE MEETING NEW PEOPLE OHH IS THAT A SWORD WOAH THATS COOL IF NOT A BIT RUSTY BUT ITS OKAY ILL GIVE YOU AN UPGRADE BE MY FRIEND!" Kevin said with such quickness and excitement to his voice barely able to take a breather to think about what he says "uhh yeah it's good to meet you too" Adam said thinking how odd this person is

"names Ruby I help Stacy here with guiding the others here on where there's danger in the city giving call outs and making the job easier" we turn to the 3rd person a quiet groan could be heard from him "he seems so annoyed and cares little to see me" Adam thought to himself unsure of what to say "that's my brother Alex don't let him bother you he seems scary but he's a total sweetheart when you get to know him more" Ruby said helping things seem less awkward for the two

we turn the 4th member an older person seemed to be in his 20s "I'm Elvis i run this team Stacy found me a while ago and well now I help run our little family here it's nice to meet you kid stick by me and you'll be just fine" Adam shakes his hand he seems very fond of this guy

"The 6 of us here look after the city making sure that it's safe and to stop those who dare threaten it" Stacy said

"Six? But there's only" Adam counts "5 of you guys who's the-" Adam was cut off by a door slamming shut "I am so sorry I'm late guys there was a problem with my bike and i had to walk the entire way here" a female voice said Adam turns to see who it is when his eyes widen the most beautiful girl he had ever laid his eyes on caught his attention he could feel his heart start to pump as he starts to feel nervous around her "Hey I'm Jessica nice to meet you" she said reaching out her hand with a smile on her face that made Adam blush "uh im um uh" Adam was nervous he sure seemed to make a good first impression on Jessica "nice to meet you "uh"Jessica said teasing Adam "Anyways what's on the board today!" Jessica said with determination ready to help those in need after Adam snapped out of his gaze he looked over at everyone all gather around the computer watching as Stacy gives a briefing his eyes couldn't help but look at Jessica

when all of a sudden a Surge of power course through Adam's body he was frozen still as Adam was no longer in the room with the others he didn't know where he was, all that Adam could see was crumbled buildings and fire around him Adam was scared he didn't know what was happening he could hear screams and crying from all around him then Adam was back he gasped breathing heavily wondering what just happened "Is everything alright?" Stacy asked "Y-Yeah everything's fine" Adam said Stacy knew something was up this was it the "Motivation" Adam needed one that she will exploit for her own personal gain.
