"He said that?!" I laughed. "Yes!" Drizella laughed as well. We were sitting in the living room of her new house. She was telling me all about the boy drama she was having at finishing school.

"So. Are you in love with anybody?" she asked, smirking. I blushed a little and looked at my hands. "Yeah," she smiled. "What's his name?" she asked. "Gregory," My shoulders slumped when I said his name. I wished I could have said goodbye.

Drizella noticed. "Was he who you were looking for as we were leaving?" she asked. I nodded, still looking at my hands. "I'm sorry you couldn't see him before you left. Like I said, he'll be there when you get back!"

I smiled at her. I looked around the room. Her new house was very large and beautiful. She let me borrow one of her dresses. It was a long, baby blue dress with large ruffled sleeves.

It had been a long time since I wore a fancy dress and had my hair braided. I kind of missed feely fancy. "Feels good to be back right?" she said, smiling at me. "Yeah," I smiled.

"I was thinking we could do some of your favorite things! Like shopping, riding horses, going for walks..." she continued talking about all of the things she wanted to do with me. I couldn't help but let my mind wander.

I thought about why Gregory wasn't there to say goodbye to me. I wondered what he wanted to tell me. I wondered why he looked so scared when he came out of Directress Jewel's office. I had so many questions.

"Are you alright?" Drizella asked. I quickly looked at her and smiled. "Yeah! I'm just thinking about all of the things we are going to do together!" She smiled back at me and said, "Well, first we are going shopping! Let's go!"

She took my hand and led me to the carriage. On the way to the shops my mind started to wander again. What if something bad happened to Gregory? What if he was mad at me?

The carriage came to a halt and Drizella said, "Come on!" She led me out of the carriage and through many people until we got to a dress shop. She smiled up at the sign. "This is the best dress shop!"

We shopped and talked for hours. We finally got into the carriage and started the journey home when the sun was starting to set. Part of me wished I was sitting on the roof with Gregory watching the sunset.

Once we got home I went to the spare bedroom. I had bought a pretty hat, a skirt, and a bracelet for the dress up bin at the orphanage. I was excited to see the children's happy faces when they saw the new costumes.

I got ready for bed and was brushing my hair when there was a knock at the door. "Come in!" I said. Drizella walked into the room. She sat on my bed and smiled at me. "So how was your day?" she asked.

I put the brush down and said, "It was wonderful. I'm so excited to see how the children react to their new costumes," She looked at the clothes then at me. "You've changed," she said. "In a good way,"

She stood up and gave me a kiss on the head. "Goodnight," she said and left the room. I smiled. I was excited to spend the next two weeks with her. My smile faded to a frown when I remembered I had to wait two weeks until I could see if Gregory was okay.

I blew out the candle that lit the room and crawled into my bed. It felt different. I suppose it was made to be more comfortable, but I had grown so used to the firm mattress at the orphanage that I had trouble falling asleep.

I laid in bed thinking about the day. I was so happy to finally see Drizella again. It meant I didn't have to be alone anymore. Of course I wasn't truly alone. I had Gregory and the other children at the orphanage.

I was glad that Drizella thought I had changed in a good way. I truly thought she would think I was ill. But she surprised me. I fell asleep thinking about all of the happy times we shared together, and of the new memories we would make in the next two weeks. Maybe.
