Mayank could not deny his father's words anymore as his hand tightened around the phone that held the cursed picture of his lover kissing another... Was Abhishek really cheating on him? 6 years of a relationship, a friendship even older than that, was everything a lie? The bowler could not fathom a life without his Abhay but now, it seemed the other had carved a life, that had shed him off as the extra pieces.
"Mayank, beta, humne tere liye ek bohot achhi ladki dhundhi hai.. Tu maanega na, aapni maa ki baat... Woh bohot achhi hai beta, ek bar mil le, tujhe zaroor pasand aayegi! Aur kitne din aise ek ladke ke pichhe pada rahega, jo tujhse pyaar bhi nahi karta!"
He wanted to scream, to cry, to throw a tantrum - to do anything that would lessen the pain, distract him from the gaping hole in his chest that used to house his heart...

No one paid attention to her tears as she sobbed her heart out in her room. Why did her own parents not understand that she had a lover! Why would they prevent her from basking in her solace!
