The thunderstorm rumbled through the city of Seoul, the sky cloaked in heavy grey clouds with only a few rays of sunlight breaking through. It was kind of weather that Yang Jungwon found perfect—calm and soothing, especially as he sat on the bus with his earphones in—soft music playing, soothing his mind.

As he nonchalantly scanned his surroundings, his gaze settled on a girl sitting across him. She had chestnut-brown hair tied with a ribbon, her braid resting over her shoulder. Her brown eyes were glued to on the pages of a romance novel in her hands. And he noticed that they were wearing the same navy blue blazer with Decelis college logo on top of it.

"Should I acquainted her?", Jungwon wondered, stealing glances at her from the corner of his eyes.

On the other hand, sensing someone's gaze, Ryu Rahyun looked up and met his eyes — staring at her absentmindedly. Her brow furrowing slightly. She quickly glanced at his name tag and realized he must be a new transferred student since she had never seen him around her campus before.

"Have I piqued your curiosity, Yang Jungwon?"

"You have, uhh.... Ryu Rahyun.", He paused, feeling embarrassed as he glanced at her name tag on her chest, then quickly shifted his gaze back to her face. She had a curvy one. "I noticed you're from the same college I transferred to. I was wondering if you could show me around?"

Her eyebrow twitched in annoyance. The last thing she wanted was to be someone's unpaid guide. She wasn't exactly known for her warmth, and the idea of helping a stranger was far from appealing. She'd much rather spending her time in the college garden, reading in peace.

"I'm not sure I'm the right person for that," she replied curtly.

Jungwon chuckled awkwardly, scratching his head. "Oh, I see. Sorry for bothering you."

Sigh. He turned to look out the window, feeling a sting of rejection. He leaned back to his seat, taking a deep breath to steady himself. It seemed like he still had a long way to go before shooting his shot.

But he wasn't ready to give up just yet. "Maybe next time," he mumbled to himself. "Yeah, maybe next time."
