Background: Twins Draco and Lyra were born in the Malfoy family. For some reason, the Malfoys have forgotten about their daughter/think she's been kidnapped/think she's dead. But in fact, Lyra Malfoy lived her whole life as Hermione Granger. And on the eve of the war, the truth about Hermione's origins is revealed. Now her whole life seems like a lie to Hermione. She has a new Malfoy appearance (Hermione's appearance was changed by a spell all her life), new parents whom she hated and despised.
Malfoy wants to use Hermione's friendship with Potter in the war, maybe even force his daughter to join the death eaters. Narcissa doesn't know how she feels about a lost child. And Hermione doesn't want anything to do with this family.
And Harry and Hermione's romantic relationship is developing in parallel.
