Chapter 20: overworking

Xavier's P.O.V.

I don't really know what woke me up maybe the shouting clearly form downstairs

Is Emily fighting with my wife again

I groan as I made my way to the bathroom and took a shower my headache had gone down so I went downstairs but it wasn't what I expected, four pair of eyes stared at me like I was the only survivor of world war 3

"Good morning" why do they all look surprised to see me. I looked at Mira to find her turning red with embarrassment.

Okay what's going on

"Xavier you were home all along" that was mum who spoke

"Of course i am, Where did you expect me to be and you said you' Were coming for dinner not breakfast"

"We also said we were going shopping" Aunt maya said.

"You didn't have to go in the morning "

"Xavier this is 1pm"

My eye widened as she said that,

This was the longest i've slept in a long time. 
Seeing the confused look on mum's face not wanting to worry her more.

"It nothing I was having a little headache So I probably I slept a little too long"

"Of course, what I did  expect? you guys never listen to me. Aleast Noah was better. He'll work all morning and then drop by ten or eleven P.M and wake up by 6 but not you- you work all morning and night then you'll sleep by midnight and wake up by 4 in the morning why can't you just take care of your self and stop worrying the people that care for you." Nobody spoke as mum said almost with tears in her eyes and she went outside

"Pearl" aunt Maya called after her.

Dad was about to follow her but I stopped him I caused this I'll have to fix it I was about to go when he stopped me.

"It's okay dad I'll talk to her, she won't stay mad at me for long."

Dad told me once why mum was always so freaky about him working late. apperently her old man died of 'over working' she said

It didn't take long for me to find her, she was sitting I the garden

"Mama"I said sitting beside her "I'm sorry mama"
She said she liked it when I call her that.

She sighed and looked at me.

"you always do this, you know I can't say mad at you so you just say word that you know you don't mean."

"Mum I mean it this time, I won't overstress my self again I'll eat atleast two time in a day and I'll sleep early if I don't have Important work to do just don't be sad." 

"You always say that Xavier and you won't keep to it so here is a New plan you sleep more, wake up by six if you don't have work that morning, have break fast with mira, take coffee only once a day and finally when you come back have dinner with mira, she a pretty good cook."

"Why do i have to eat with mira what if she-she- I come home late some times."

"So she'll keep tabs on you for me end of discussion let go in Xavier you've grown so lean let go feed you."

"Aren't you going shopping again."

"We're back from shopping, if you didn't sleep like a log maybe you gave notices and yes skyler is on her way"

"WHAT"

"I said skyler is on-"

"I heard you why."

"She's actually really hurt you didn't invite her to your weeding."
