The wedding venue was adorned with vibrant colors and fragrances of wealth, elegance, and of course a lot of skepticism.
Pragya stood before the ornate mirror, her reflection adorned in traditional bridal attire. The red and gold lehenga draped gracefully around her, but her eyes betrayed a flicker of uncertainty.
The past had woven a complicated tapestry between Pragya, Abhishek, and Aditya. Abhishek, her ex-husband, had convinced her to give their love a second chance. Yet, her heart secretly yearned for Aditya, the man she had once considered her true love but had lost due to a twist of fate. Little did she know Aditya had taken their intertwined strings in his hands.
She chuckled seeing her reflection. Disha looked at her sister in concern.
"Are you sure about this wedding di?"
"See na..Disha, this is above tenth time, I have been wearing bridal attire, every time it's a different one but the person is the same. Funny isn't it? The same spineless jerk."
"Di, you can change the decision right." Dish suggested with hope.
"No. Disha, I can't. I shouldn't fall weak. I need to do it for myself. It's a matter of my dignity. This marriage will start my avenge from Abhishek." Pragya retorted back masking all her emotion in a grunted look.
Soon she was called to the alter. She took a long breath assuring herself to bring storm in the life of Mehra siblings. As Pragya took hesitant steps towards the grand wedding hall, she couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that destiny had another plan in store.
When Pragya approached the mandap, her heart fluttered with a mix of emotions. The dulcet tones of the wedding hymns masked the subtle sound of her gasp when she finally caught sight of the groom, his face concealed behind the sehra. She doubted the behind the donned sehra was Abhishek or someone else.
In all this, she searched for Aditya around her. The exchange of garlands followed, and with each passing moment, the knot in her stomach tightened when she didn't find Aditya in the hall.
Soon the ceremony commenced, and the rituals unfolded like a dance of tradition and commitment. As the final vows were exchanged, and the wedding rituals drew to a close, a hushed anticipation filled the air.
Pragya's glance stopped at Aliyah who was grinning like a fool dreaming to become the queen of the Arora empire, with an illusion of trapping Pragya again in her game. Little, did she know this auspicious marriage was the end of her treacherous evilness.
When the time came for Aditya to unveil his face, a collective gasp echoed through the room, followed by a stunned silence that seemed to stretch on indefinitely.
There, standing before them, was not Abhishek Mehra, as everyone had expected, but Aditya himself - Pragya's long-lost love, her once-forgotten soulmate.
Sarla, Sushma & Kokila cried in happiness seeing Aditya in the place of Abhishek because they knew this commitment would not only bring new glimmers of happiness at the end of the tunnel but it's the end of the years of melancholy in the life of Aditya & Pragya.
Pragya, her heart heavy with conflicting emotions, stood beside her newly-wedded husband, Aditya Raisinghania, feeling as though she had stepped into a dream from which she couldn't wake.
The veil that donned her husband's face concealed a truth so profound that it sent shockwaves fluttering through the gathered guests. With each passing moment, the tension in the room palpably heightened, as if the very walls of the grand hall were holding their breath in anticipation.
Aliya who was in the illusion of becoming the queen stood aghast seeing Aditya in the place of her brother. For the first time, she wanted Abhishek to get married to the woman she despised to the core but destiny again became partial to her playing a whole game against her AGAIN.
Pragya looked at the fuming Aliyah who marched towards them stopped in front of Aditya & raised her hand at Aditya only to cease her hand by another hand.
"Don't you dare Aliyah !" Pragya jerked Aliyah pushing her back.
"you planned to insult us right? My brother is madly in love with you but a characterless woman trapping other men. you gold digger, vil..." Her word stopped in the middle with a tight slapping sound echoed in the wedding hall.
Pragya's heart pounded in her chest, her mind reeling with a myriad of emotions - confusion, disbelief, and a flicker of something akin to hope.
How could this be happening? How could Aditya, the man she had thought she'd lost forever, be standing before her now, in the most unexpected of circumstances?
Amidst the stunned silence, Pragya's thoughts raced, trying to make sense of the impossible. She had been prepared for Abhishek's presence, for the bitter-sweet taste of vengeance that she had longed to savor. But this...this was a twist of fate that she could never have foreseen.
As the weight of the truth settled upon her, Pragya's initial fury simmered into a quiet resignation. She had known deep down that Aditya would try to intervene, to stop the marriage that she had orchestrated with such careful precision. But to take Abhishek's place, to marry her himself...that was a betrayal she had not expected.
Pragya's thoughts halted only to be filled with shimmers of hope and love for Aditya.
"Stop there Ms. whatever.. don't you dare to complete that word for my wife. I am not your spineless brother who would stand like a statue seeing his wife's reputation getting tarnished. But I am Aditya Raisinghania who can't stand when someone questions my reputation, my pride. She is now Mrs. Pragya Aditya Raisinghania, and so is my pride. So from now onwards don't meddle yourself in between or else I will not feel guilty killing you at the same instance."
Pragya's heart filled with giddiness seeing someone so concerned about her reputation, equating her reputation with his pride. Her eyes teared up seeing her Aditya like that.
Little did she know, the truth that had been unveiled was only the beginning of a journey that would unravel the deepest mysteries of her past, and lead her to confront the harsh realities of her present. As she took her first tentative steps into this new chapter of her life, Pragya knew that nothing would ever be the same again.
