His Chosen Family

~TWO~

      I really hope Bodhi has a valid reason for getting into a fight on his first day of preschool. We head into the office, where Bodhi, Celestia, and another little boy. "Bodhi. What happened?" Ma asks in her mom voice. Bodhi looks at us before turning the principle "I told him to leave Cel alone and he didn't. Then when we were leaving he tripped her." He confessed "So, I pushed him." That didn't seem like the whole story to me, so I gave him the same look mom gives us when she knows we're only telling half of the story. He sighs "He got up and went to hit me so I punched him." He shrugged.

Ma looked at the principal then back to the kids "I think the boys should apologize to one another, the one who tripped Celestia should apologize to her" she shakes her head "and Bodhi should stay home for a couple days because he knows you're supposed to defend when in that situation." The other parents and the principal state their agreements and we get ready to take our leave. "Well, at least we know it wasn't meaningless." I state looking at my mom who in return nods. "We're doing what we had planned today but Bodhi" she sighs "you can't do that again little prince. You can get into serious trouble." She sternly finishes. Bodhi, of course replies with a yes ma'am and I'm sorry.

We leave the preschool and get into the car where mom says that we're going to have a great night despite how bad our day pretty much was. And man, was she right.

      Today was honestly exhausting. Cameron had me sitting with random people I didn't know, Bodhi got into a fight, then we went out of town for dinner and just walked around doing random things. It was a good day though. "Cel, Bubba, Cam and a couple of new friends are coming over dinner tomorrow." I tell the twins. Cameron has known my little siblings since we met and they love him like a big brother. "Prince Camron is coming?" Cel tilts her head. Since Ma calls us prince, little prince, and princess, Cel calls almost everyone a prince or princess. I nod my head and kiss both of the foreheads before saying good night since mom is putting them to sleep.

     Ma walks in around twenty minutes later "I'm glad you made a few more friends, prince." She tells me. "Find out what your friends like and I'll pick the stuff up in the afternoon. I love you." She  places a kiss to my temple before walking out of the room. I'm glad I ran into Stella. She's given me a good life these past four years and life would've been worse if I hadn't met her. Ma always says 'Everything happens for a reason. Everyone comes into your life for a reason. Learn what you can from them.'  One thing I can say at this very moment is that I am not ready to wake up early in the morning.
