Author's note: This chapter introduces Kang Daniel. Before publishing, I wrote this for a friend who chose to add Daniel. As the reader, you can insert your own character or person into the narrative if you choose.
--
A few months have passed since you shut your husband out. The divorce papers came in, but it was a matter of sitting down and getting him to sign them. You didn't want to see his face, and you assumed he didn't either.
You've been rooming with your best friend, Baekhyun, since you left Chanyeol. You two would tell each other anything, spilling all the drama to each other and giving the other the rundown of what happened over the weekend. Baekhyun encouraged you to seek other people instead of withering away in your room all day. That was easier said than done. It's not like your partner of 8 years had cheated on you. You listened to his advice though, craving attention from someone other than him. You finally planned to go out clubbing with one of your closest friends, Hyuna.
You got ready in your room, debating on what outfit to wear out that night. You finally decided on a slim white silk dress with fingerless gloves made of the same material. You paired it with white heels that wrapped up your calf with butterflies on them. Once you were dressed, you did your hair and makeup quickly, doing a simple but dark makeup look with an accent liner and cut crease. You showed off the outfit to Baekhyun, who was hyping you up and snapping his fingers excitedly. You smiled at the attention, but as soon as he stopped, your confidence went down into the ditch again. You finished grabbing your things then heard a knock at the door, checking who it was through the peephole, it was Hyuna. You open the door for her and let her in, examining each other's outfits excitedly. Once you two were done, you turned to Baekhyun and told him to take care of the house and make sure to feed Tsunade. Baekhyun nodded then practically pushed you out the door, nudging you to go have fun.
Once you two finally left, Hyuna drove you two to the local club. Before walking in, she warned you to not let any man touch you, no matter what Baekhyun said. She said he knew nothing about clubbing. You nodded at her advice, though it went through one ear and out the other. You were just excited to meet people.
You two finally got out of the car and Hyuna knew the bouncer personally, so you two were able to walk right in. You went right to the bar, asking for soju. You sat there while the bartender poured it for you. As you waited, you felt a hand touch the middle of your back. Not going to lie, it made you jump, but when you turned to see who it was, you practically fell head over heels. It was your highschool sweetheart, Daniel.
"Y/n?" He asked, making sure it was you. You smiled at him and he smiled right back, sitting in the barstool next to you. You sat down as well, leaning on your arms with full interest.
"How have you been?" He asked. You sighed, and his face dropped, knowing that was never a good sign from you.
You then started to give him the full rundown of the last few months.
"To start, me and Chanyeol got married. Forget about that, though. A couple months ago I went to my friend's house and he walked me to my door, Chanyeol saw and he freaked out, thinking I was cheating on him. He was yelling at me and we got into this huge argument, but we eventually made up."
"Oh, Y/n, I'm sorry-"
"Hush, I'm not done yet," You shushed. Daniel smiled at you and acted as if he was zipping his mouth shut.
"We were all fine and dandy, right? We made up, he spoiled me, took care of me, and was a good husband. But a couple months ago, we just split. I don't know how to explain it, but it's like we were roommates to each other. There was no communication, no affection, nothing. It sucked."
