Third Person P.O.V
Titan’s tower was buzzing with excitement. Robin, the current leader of the Teen Titans has decided to allow the Titans to throw a party to allow members of Titan’s east and honorary titans an opportunity to view the eclipse. Cyborg and Beastboy were decorating the common room when a certain Purple haired telepath entered the room to make her traditional herbal tea. The sound of the door to the common room opening distracted Beastboy just enough to accidentally hit himself with the hammer he was using to hang banners, causing him to cuss under his breath. *“Mother Fucker”*.
“You okay grass stain?” Cyborg was surprised to hear Beastboy swear, despite being put into dangerous and tense situations, Beastboy usually kept a bright attitude towards everything.
“Yeah, I’m okay Cy, just.....distracted” Beastboy mumbled that last part, staring into the kitchen where the aforementioned telepath had now emerged. Cocking an eyebrow at the injured shape shifter. Noticing her stare Beastboy tried to act casual, “Oh, hey Rae, Good morning”.
Raven sighed before responding in a monotone voice “It’s Raven, and can you try to be quiet? I still need to meditate” walking back to her room without much more conversation between the three Titans present.
Beastboy’s POV
*Fuck, I just acted like a total idiot just then, how come I always manage to make myself look like a fool around her…* Sighing, I turned to my Half robot best friend and continued to help decorate the tower, but I was still preoccupied with thoughts of our resident half demoness. *I wonder if Rae likes eclipses.. Maybe I could get her a gift to make up for being so loud while decorating..* With this thought in mind I turned to Cyborg, “Hey Cy, do you think I could leave for a bit to look for something?”
Cyborg finished hanging the streamers and turned to face me with a teasing grin. “Gonna get a present to finally tell Raven that you lo-” Cyborg was cut off when I chucked a loose streamer at him with a furious blush.
“Cy shut up. What if she hears you?!? I’m lucky enough she tolerates my existence as it is, let alone if I actually ever told her.” With that I walked out of the common room and to my room, passing Raven’s room and sighing heavily. *Her room always smells like lavender and tea.. It drives me insane*. Shaking my head to at least attempt to clear my thoughts I continued to my room. Walking into my disaster of a room and picking out a casual outfit to head to town in. Chuckling softly to myself *Like a new set of clothes can hide the fact that I’m Green*.
Meanwhile Raven’s POV
I walk out of the common room to the sounds of my emotions all trying to talk over one another. Ever since we defeated my father I can feel most of my emotions, but that doesn’t stop them from trying to all be the dominant emotion, and lately a newer addition to the collection has been making quite a racket… *Passion for the love of god please shut up. I don’t have the energy to argue with you all day* I silently plead, knowing it's practically useless.
Another version of my voice responded in my head, sounding almost like it was purring with mischievous ideas “But think of it Raven, Beastboy laying on our bed after getting out of the shower, water running down those gorgeous abs of his as he looks at us with animalistic desire”. Hearing passion’s description made me glad I pulled my hood up as I felt my face flush. *One. I don’t like Beastboy. Two. Even if I did, who says he likes me back? Or even thinks of me as anything more than the creepy half demon of the team??* My mental arguments with my emotions was cut short when I heard a vase shatter. Sighing I begin to meditate to avoid any further damages. While I can feel my emotions, when they become as Chaotic as they are now, I can still break things around me if I haven’t meditated recently. I begin to chant my mantra while sitting in the lotus position, only pausing when I feel a familiar presence stop at my door.
“There's our resident pretty boy” I hear passions voice coo through my mind, causing me to sigh again *Passion please, can I just have one normal interaction with him today?*
Passion responds playfully “That depends Raven, can you interact with him without feeling me so strongly that I can’t help but comment?”
*Whatever passion* I mentally mutter before going back to my meditation, feeling his presence fade away from my door. A few minutes later I hear him leave his room and head back to the common room, before feeling his presence leave the tower.
Beastboy’s POV
I head out into town with Raven on my mind, making me try to come up with a good idea for an apology gift. *Maybe I can get her a book? Wait no she has tons of books already.. Plus I don’t know what books she likes.. Maybe a necklace? I’ve never seen her wear jewelry but it couldn’t hurt to offer her some..* With that plan in mind I start searching Jump City for a necklace that I think she would like. Not having much luck until I happened across a small shop just outside downtown. It was filled with everything from books to little statues and necklaces, one of them looked perfect. The necklace was a pendant depicting a Solar eclipse, with the pendant being a purple gemstone with an orange gemstone underneath it. I gently pick up the box it’s in and head to the counter where I’m met with a kind looking older gentleman
“Uh, excuse me sir, I’d like to buy this necklace” I say as I set the box onto the counter.
The man looks up at me with a kind smile. “Sure sonny. Have you been practicing magic long? No offense but you don’t seem the type.” I chuckle and respond, “Well I don’t practice magic, but my friend does and I was looking for a gift for them.” He chuckles and closes the box before wrapping it. “Ah, that makes more sense, well. Make sure this gets into the hands of the person you intend it to. Some people are rather judgmental when it comes to magic practitioners.” I nod while taking the wrapped box and paying, I then leave and head back home, slightly anxious to not miss the eclipse we set up this party for.
Third Person POV
When Beastboy got back to the tower most Titans East had arrived, with the honorary titans on the way. He greets others while making his way to Raven’s room. He knocks gently and waits a few moments before the door opens and he’s greeted with the sight of a slightly flushed telepath. “Are you okay Rae? You look kinda red..” He asks, concerned. She just huffs and replies in her usual monotonous tone “I’m fine Beastboy, what do you want?”. Beastboy rubs the back of his neck slightly before offering her the box “I felt bad for making so much noise before you had a chance to meditate, so I went out and bought you an apology gift” he said sheepishly. Raven was surprised that Beastboy had even thought to apologize, so she gently took the box and set it on her dresser. “Well, that was surprisingly thoughtful of you. Apology accepted”. With that, Raven closed the door to her room and sat back down on her bed. Conversing with her emotions while contemplating what could be in the box
Raven’s POV
My emotions were all swirling in my head, did he apologize because he cared? Or because he wanted an excuse to prank me.. Anger and passion couldn’t seem to come to an agreement on that, arguing back and forth while brave tried to convince me to open the box. Finally my emotions seemed to agree on at least opening the box, and if it happened to be a prank we could always teleport him to another dimension. As I cautiously set the box on my bed, brave, passion, and happy were encouraging me that it couldn’t be completely terrible. When I opened the box I saw a beautiful necklace.. *Did Beastboy buy me jewelry? I definitely didn’t expect that*. I picked up the necklace and walked over to my mirror to see how it would look on me. Surprisingly it looked like it would go well with my complexion and preferred color scheme. *I didn’t know that Beastboy had an eye for fashion. Color me surprised*. I gingerly clipped the necklace on and headed to the eclipse watching party. I didn’t wear it because Beastboy got it for me, I wore it because it went well with my outfit.
