The following morning, Michelle woke up very early; her and the rest of the crew had to hurry up, so they could arrive to their next stop, before the band. Ted Dumas called her room asking her to go and explain Norm about their plans for their arrival.

And so she did, she wished them safe trip to France, and got into the elevator, when the doors opened, she saw the liftman (the man who operated the elevator) and the woman she had seen in John's room the other day. She froze for a bit, then the man said something in German, she assumed he had told her to step in, and that's what she did, before he closed the door George in a hurry stopped it.

"Oh,"  he said and raised his left eyebrow to the other lady, "Guten Morgen!. ... Michelle, give these to Hugh, I hid them as a joke yesterday so he must miss them." He said about a pair of glasses, he told her but her eyes were on the German girl,

Michelle grabbed them, "Sure," she said and made a gesture to the liftman to close the door.

The awkward silence was broken by the woman, "You're Michelle? That's your name? Rechts?"

With a quick look and a confused smile she nodded yes, "What's yours?" she said, raising her hand as if it was an introduction.

The woman didn't notice her hand because she was getting a cigarette from her purse, "I'm Karline," she said, and turned to her and gave her a friendly smile, "tell me Michelle, do you think your name sounds as mine,"

She turned to see her, softly shaking her head, "Do you mean similar? I guess not so much,"

Karline stepped out of the elevator as soon as the doors opened, and said more to herself than to Michelle, "I thought so too," and in a sudden she turned again to her, "I never understood why John mixed it,"

She lifted an inquisitive eyebrow, "I don't und—"

The German woman interrupted, "He changed it, sometimes he called me by your name as a mistake I guess, and mostly during sex," Karline said as if she was telling her how the weather was going to be that day, in a calm tone. She then, put a hand on Michelle's shoulder and said, "thought you should know," and walked away.

Her gaze ping-ponged around the lobby, she could feel her whole body heavy, even passing saliva hurt her; in this state of conflict, she heard her name being called, it was Nadine telling her the cab had arrived.

Once in Paris, the same thing happened as in Germany, some fans waited at the train station, except this time they were suffering because of how cold the weather was.  Michelle noticed a young teen with a guitar singing in quite a great accent, he sang The Beatles songs. He was about 14 years old wearing a neat brown jacket, as he made others sing along . The crew went to interview him, Michelle started asking him in French about him, he said his name was Fabien and her nanny was there, supporting his passion that was rock and roll and the Beatles.
