Xian's pov: Why am I even alive at this point? This world let me live another day, but yet I never asked for it. Why does it let me suffer when it could just end my life?.
He thought, preparing for another tiring day of school. Xian was always titled as the 'weird kid' for being a loner and the quiet kid. His classmates would usually tease him, taking his lunch, pulling his hair, beating him up, and making him do their homework.
He suffers at school, but he suffers more at home. Adding up to his problems. The only person he could love was his mom, who shared his pain and suffering.
Back at the present:
Xian went downstairs, grabbing his lunch and left. When he arrived at school, he didn't bother greeting any of the students, being the definition of weird anyway. He sat down on his desk, which was at the back corner of the class. Soon, the school bell rang as every students entered the classroom where he already was. They didn't care since it was the start of class, but it always starts when it's lunch time.Time passed quickly, being lunch time. He packed his bags and made a mental note to himself to eat in the bathroom—or in the janitors closet. He quickly left the classroom to avoid any problems, though, the students were stubborn, following him and pinning him to the corner.
"Being a coward now, huh?"
"Yeah! U don't deserve this lunch."
They snatched it away, Xian stayed quiet, he experienced this every day, why would he fight back when school was the only thing he needed except for his mom?
They walked away, leaving him with a couple of bruises and wounds. He slowly stood up, letting out a shaky sigh. Xian was about to go to the bathroom, where he could be vulnerable, though, the principal called him to her office.
He followed, going there as soon as possible. He sat down, waiting for the principal to say something.
"Say, Xian, have u been experience anything at home, or in school? I have been seeing u with a couple of bruises and the teachers were talking about it. Care to explain to me?"
She asked, resting her head on her hand whilst she looked at him, as if in an intimidating look. Lucas gulped.
Xian's pov: Should I tell her?.It doesn't hurt, right? Maybe..maybe I can finally be free from all this pressure–..
"T-to be honest, I—.."
He stammered, quickly stopping as if he felt that he was being suffocated. Feeling a sudden shift of weight on his shoulders, heavy, and large.
"Do u think it would be that easy for u to tell someone that information?.."
A voice echoed in his head, everything around him blurring, only seeing black. A hand covered his mouth, a hand which wasn't his.
"W-what?.."
"Hah, don't act clueless..You know EXACTLY what would happen if u told them."
"Please..stop.."
"I will slit her throat open if u tell her. Maybe even ur mother if I had a bad day.."
He felt a shiver run down his spine—Who exactly was speaking? Is that what's in ur mind? Well, u'll find out, eventually.
Xian snapped back into reality, the principals eye widened.
"Xian, Ur nose is bleeding!"
The principal stood up, offering a hand only for it to be pushed away. Xian covered his nose and glared at the principal.
"No-..no, it's fine. Thank you."
He said, the principal reluctantly going back to her seat.
"Alright then. I have a few words to say to you. You haven't joined any clubs yet, right? Well, I was thinking that u should join one. It's not required, but I strongly suggest every student to do so. Please consider my offer, and if u do, speak to the president of clubs. Here is his I.D and location."
The principal handed the head of clubs I.D and his current location. Xian nodded, thanking the principal and quickly leaving. He closed the door behind him and leaned on a nearby wall, finally taking off his nonchalant facade. A few tears escaping his eyes whilst he breathed out a shaky breath he didn't know that he was holding.
Xian's pov: Maybe I should accept the offer..
He thought to himself, standing up, wiping any tears, and going to where the president of clubs are.
