XVIII

(Reference Chapter 102-108 in 4KOA Manga)

3rd POV:

Morning came and the Knights and their Companions have laid their fallen comrade- Jade- in a coffin. They called Thetis and told her about the situation, she then told them that she will take responsibility and will take Jade's body home. She added by saying to look for more clues to get into Camelot, Tristan then informed the sorceress that someone provided them some information, and she was Io- a demon.

Io then told them to follow her and they followed, they asked where they were going and Io answered, "The Demon Realm."

IN ANOTHER LOCATION BUT SAME PLACE, Christina was perched up a tree-branch and leaning on it, as she looks out the distance. She then heard footsteps in the distance and then looked down from the tree she was at and saw the other Knights of Chaos aka her comrades.

She already figured that Arthur sent them to deal with the Knights of Prophecy, she was ordered to the same, but unlike the other Knights of Chaos, she had more freedom in doing whatever she likes. How? Well, that would be a story for another time.

She scoffed silently and closed her eyes and while so, she disappeared with the wind. She re-opened her eyes only to be met with darkness,

"I expected that you'll come." A dark cold voice said behind her back

"I already told you the future 4 years ago, though." Christina shrugged "They'll be in here in a matter of minutes or an hour."

"So, why are you here, dear niece?"

"A gift." Christina said "A gift to give Tristan Liones."

"You already gave up your demon powers and gave it to me for safe-keeping, and you said to give it to the son of Fox Sin of Greed." the man said "I am curious on what gift you will give to your supposedly twin brother?"

"A sword crafted from my very own wings." Christina said

"What?!" 

Christina then looked up and felt the magic of the Knights of Prophecy and their companions, she then snapped her fingers and a sword appeared. She then gave it to her uncle in a bracelet form, "Thank you, Zeldris-san. Goodbye, and thank you for being part of my family." And with that she just disappeared in front of Zeldris, where just in time someone came inside the throne room and reported to Zeldris that there were intruders at gate 220. Zeldris activated his Demon form as he said, "Seize them and bring them here at once."

After Zeldris explained everything, including Percival's backstory on how the demons as well as the King and Queen of the Demon Realm knew him. Lancelot then said that he  will train the Percival platoon in the next week, Zeldris somehow smiled at the scene but went back on business as he says, "Tristan. Lancelot. Come with me for a bit."

Both teens looked at each other but they didn't question the Demon King and followed him, of course the others were worried and in some denial (ahem Chion) but Zeldris reassured them that he will just have a private talk with the two of them.

As they leave, Trsitan couldn't help but ask his uncle, "Where are we going, uncle?"

"You'll see." Zeldris answered

After some minutes of walking, they got in a room that was so dark that when they went inside, the door behind them closed and suddenly the candles inside the room lit up by themselves, "What is this place?" Lancelot questioned

"This is a room where I kept a very powerful magic power." Zeldris said as he looked at the two teens "Your father already told you, right, Tristan?"

"What exactly..?" the said boy said with a confused look

"Is it the matter that involves Christina?" Lancelot said 

"Yes, that is right." Zeldris said "Have you ever wondered where she was the time she suddenly went missing 4 years ago?" 

"As I remember, father sent her to a mission that she can only accomplish and then she suddenly never came back." Tristan said sadly as he recalled the time her sister went missing. "She was supposed to be back after a week but she never came back."

"There were countless search parties sent out to find her but the only thing that was found was her destroyed bow, that was gifted by father." he added "That is all that I knew."

"Well, you are not wrong but what I am about to say to you two will change on how you view her now." Zeldris said

"What do you mean?"

"4 years ago- the time your sister went missing- she ended up here in the Demon Realm, severely injured. Her wings were broken and she had blood all over her body, we tried our best to save her but it seemed she was giving up. But one day she regained consciousness and then told me, 

Remove my Demon powers.

I of course told her I simply cannot, even though I was the Demon King. I still can't do things such as extracting your own powers, she nodded in understanding and the next thing I knew there was a small black light in my hand."

Zeldris then snapped his finger and the same small black orb appeared from his palm, "Lancelot."

"Hm?"

"Christina told me to give you this." Zeldris said as he moves his hand forward and as he did, the small black orb went to Lancelot's hand.

The Prince of Benwick widened his eyes in surprise as he looks at the Demon King, "Wait, why me? I already have a large affinity of magic! So why?!"

"I don't know as well, I was just ordered to by my niece to gave it to you." Zeldris said and then he looked at Tristan "Tristan, this is for you." 

Suddenly a large light appeared and in Zeldris's hand appeared the sword Christina gave to him earlier, "This sword was crafted from Christina's very own wings. She wanted to give this to you. Cherish it greatly, Tristan." Zeldris said sadly

Tristan accepted the sword and as soon as they both got what Christina wanted them to have, sudden memories flowed to their heads. It went so fast that they weren't able to make out the memories they received, though at the end of the memory lane they got into one conclusion,

"She was never an enemy."

"She was an ally we never knew we had all along."
