Shit. What could it be? What could have Yeonjun sound like that? So desperate?

I speed through the lights and park, going through the apartment complex in a rush. After finding her apartment I ring the door bell. Nothing. So I knock on the door. Nothing.

"Yeonjun? Mi-ae?"

I grab ahold of the door knob on some dumb wish which seemed to magically work because the door opened. It was unlocked. Swinging the door open I hurriedly scan the room.

I don't see anything, but I hear something. I hear someone crying, wailing. I follow the sound and find a balcony. On the balcony lies Yeonjun kneeing on the floor, bending over a seemingly lifeless body in his arms. He rocks back and forth, crying out to whatever god may be listening.

I walk onto the balcony and walk to Yeonjun's side to see better on who he was holding. My hands starting shaking, my heart beat quickening, my breathing fast and swallow. I didn't want to believe it. I didn't want to acknowledge it. I place my trembling hand on top of Yeonjun's shoulder and his head jerks up. His eyes were wide in surprise until they saw who I was, then they smallened, becoming thick in tears.

"Yeonjun, is this-"

I drop down next to him. A overwhelming feeling of anguish and grief overtake me.

"Mi-ae... no... no." I touch her hair that flowered out over Yeonjun.

I sobbed, "Silvia..."

"Soobin I think, I think she's-"

I place my fingers against her neck, adjusting them to find even the faintest pulse.

Please, please, please.

I freeze.

"Yeonjun can you carry her to the car?"

"Uh- yes I think so." He pauses his cry. "What are you doing?"

"I'm typing in the hospital's coordinates. I can drive to the hospital faster than the ambulance can get here. The streets here could cause a problem for an ambulance truck."

I don't look at him, but I can feel his face brighten.

"Come on, quickly. I'll go and pull the car out in front."

"I- yes okay. I'll carry her down."

I dash out of the apartment without another word and make my way down.

Come on Yeonjun...

I see him exit the building with Mi-ae in his arms with her dress flowing down, and for some reason it reminded me of a wedding. I get out of the car and open the door, helping him place her in the back seat. We jump back in and he sets the gps to the hospital.

A minute passes while driving until I can't help but ask him.

"Yeonjun, what happened? What happened to her?"

He keeps his face forward, but responds, "I found her like that. Well I found her standing- standing on the balcony railing. I don't know what type of blessing it was, but I got to her just in time before..."

"Before what?"

"Before she jumped."

The words came to me sharp and painful. Gripping the steering wheel tighter, I glance into the rearview mirror. Mi-ae lays across the back seat and although I didn't get the chance to get a better look at her, I could see something sickly about her as I checked her pulse. Even as she laid unconscious I've never seen such tiredness before. Such ache. A wincing face that doesn't even relax as she sleeps. A warm tear streamed down my cheek, and I also began pleading in my mind with whatever extraterrestrial force there might be to save her. What monstrous force could have done this to her?
