chapter 5

Rain's pov

The girls and I hung out the next day when we woke up until they had to leave. It was fun hanging with them, we just watched TV and ate food. Eventually they had to leave so I started cleaning up the mess we made. It didn't take too long but it was still boring. I went up to my room and took a shower which felt amazing on my muscles. They were sore because I slept funny. I stayed in the shower for longer than I needed to, but it just felt really nice. When I got out I decided I would changed into pj's considering it was 5:30 and I had nothing else to do. I grabbed my phone and my laptop and sat down in my bed. I pulled up wattpad on my laptop and started reading. I seriously loved reading I could sit and read forever. I particularly loved the Harry Potter series. I started it in second grade and reread them the series several times. I sat there reading until I decided I should look at the clock. 2:13am what? How could it get that late? Oh well, I turned off my laptop and layed down. I wanted to keep reading since I stopped in the middle of chapter, but decided against it. I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep but I wanted to know what happened so I sat back up and decided to finish the chapter. Well two hours later I had finished the book after saying 'just one more chapter' over and over it was now 4 o clock in the morning and I decided to actually sleep. When I woke up the next morning I was really tired so I decided I would just bum it today. I put on some grays joggers with a white shirt and white converse. I ran downstairs to eat my breakfast which was cocoa puffs. We hardly ever have them so I made sure I poured a big bowl. I walked into the living room to grab my backpack and saw my parents sitting on the couch together. My dad was still sick and I guess my mom was taking off of work so she could take care of him. I grabbed my backpack and sat down next to them while I checked to make sure I had put my homework back. I had everything I needed so I stood back up kissed both of my parents on the cheek and said goodbye. I walked to school since I still didn't have my car. It wasn't the nicest car to most but it was the best car I could ask for. It was my dad's old jeep wrangler and it was seriously the best thing ever. While I was walking I realized I hadn't even brushed my hair before leaving because I was so tired. At least I had remembered to brush my teeth. I stopped walking and put my hair up in a messy bun. It was currently dark blue because I was so tired. I trudged the rest of the way to school and yawned when I got to my locker. I leaned against it and tried to remember my locker combination. I was there somewhat early so I decided it wouldn't matter if I took a minute to close my eyes. I turned towards my locker with my head against it and closed my eyes. I don't know how long I dozed off but next thing I know someone pushes me over and laughed when I fall. Great now my but hurt. "Thank you for that, no seriously I really appreciate being pushed over in the morning. It's great." I say while standing up. I still haven't looked up to see who pushed me but when I do I'm greeted by my friends. "Oh my god sorry I didn't mean to push you so hard I was just trying to wake you up." Says Michelle and I realized it was Maddi who was laughing when I fell. "It's fine Michelle, I probably won't even have a bruise." I tell her since she is still freaking out. She seems to calm down and starts laughing when she looks at what I'm wearing. "How late did you stay up last night?" Maddi asks me. "Oh you know 4 o'clock." I tell them "So that's why you look so crappy today." Michelle laughs. I don't blame her for laughing, I mean I'm wearing joggers and at wrinkly t-shirt and her and Maddi are dressed cute as always. Michelle is wearing American flag shorts with a matching top and a leather jacket and Maddi is dresses in jeans a nice tanktop with a jean jacket and boots. They look so cute and I'm totally bumming it today. "Hey what's my locker combination? I can't remember it, I'm too tired." I tell them. They look at me like I'm dumb but Michelle pipes up and says "31 33 19" Oh that's what it is. "Thanks." I grab the books I need for my first three classes which are math, science, and english. I totally hated math but science and english were ok. I started walking with my friends till we had to separate for 1st period. I had to face math all by myself, which didn't really matter today because I planned on sleeping through it. I walked through the door and into the classroom. I went straight to the back so hopefully I wouldn't get caught sleeping. Normally I sit in the middle but people in the middle got called on a lot. I sat down in the back corner and opened my textbook to at least make it look like I was studying. I put my head on my arms and closed my eyes. It didn't take long for me to knock out. After what felt like five minutes someone started shaking me trying to wake me up. "Five more minutes." I mumbled to whoever was shaking me. They didn't stop so I decided I would tell them to go away. I looked up and saw a familiar pair of green eyes. "Your in my seat." He said.
