they're all at Wolf Cove academy, and Rufus says what he saw in the Spirit World, so they make a plan to release Ezra's Spiritual Connection
"If that's the case, I haven't lost my Connection to the Spirits, maybe there's still a way for me to open my Spirit Projection? Can you help me?" - Ezra
"Guys! Guys! look at this I read in the Book, it says that in order to open Spiritual Power in the Spirit World, you only need to use Energy Bending, and Elemental Avatar is one of those who know how to do Energy Bending! help the two of you to open it that" - Jinora
"The only problem we have is, I haven't had a Connection with the Spirits for a long time, that's why I can't enter the Spirit World" - Ezra

Rufus couldn't do anything but agree to Jinora's plan, because he knew it was for everyone's good, including Ezra's.
They thought that Rufus would be able to open the Spirit World, they didn't know that Rufus couldn't yet, because he hadn't mastered all the Elements yet, that's why it was just outside of Red Lightning in the sky
"Can't you? Let's try that a few more times, rest first, maybe you can open it a little" - Jinora
Rufus rested, and after meditating for a while to find out how he could open the Spirit World, he spoke to his Past Avatars.
"Avatar Leora, I need your help now, I don't know how to open the Portal to the Spirit World, so can you help me?" - Rufus
"Rufus, because Avatar Kaia was so careless with the Spirits, I made a way to prevent the Spirit World from having a Connection with the Physical World again, but I knew I was wrong, because all the Spiritual Energy of everyone was lost, so the Water and Air bender has become weak, so you can open the Spirit World even if you can't master the 4 Elements, just use the Elemental States and give all your Energy, it will be opened" - Leora
"I know how to open the Spirit World, get ready, because this is too strong" - Rufus
and because of what Avatar Leora said, Rufus was able to open the Spirit World
"Wow, in my entire life, I've only seen a Portal open" - Ezra
Everyone can see the opening of the Portal in the Northern Water Tribe throughout the Nation, it can see it in Ba Sing Se, Omashu, Zaofu, Republic City, Southern Water Tribe, Fire Nation, and all the Air Temples
