In a quiet and cozy bar, with the soft illumination of the lamps creating an intimate atmosphere, Sadie McCarthy was seated in a corner, lost in her thoughts while enjoying an exquisitely prepared martini. The murmur of conversations and laughter from other patrons filled the space, creating a background sound for the night. Suddenly, live music began to resonate from the improvised stage in another part of the venue, capturing Sadie's attention. Two intertwined voices, accompanied by the melody of a guitar, filled the space with a tranquil and melodic song.

Intrigued, Sadie momentarily set aside her drink and turned in her chair to witness the performance. A nostalgic smile formed on her face as memories of days gone by flooded her mind.

She fondly remembered the moments shared in that same bar with her best friend and coworker, a brave journalist whose life was tragically cut short two years ago after uncovering compromising information about influential figures. The loss of her friend had left a profound mark on Sadie. In addition to the pain and absence, something inside her had transformed, causing the passion she once felt for journalism to slowly fade, making room for a search for new opportunities and experiences.

Although the music and memories transported her to a past moment, Sadie realized she had lost track of time.

-Shit.

With a sigh, she stood up, gathered her belongings, and bid farewell to the bar. At the bus stop, she patiently waited until one arrived and boarded. As the bus moved through the illuminated streets of the city, Sadie sat with her head lightly resting on the seat back, observing the constantly changing urban landscape through the window.
