"Y/n?"

"Mhm."

"Y/n, wake yer' ass up."

I was slowly stirring out of sleep, the voice of the Scottishman and the tapping on my shoulders was enough to wake me up. "Huh?" I finally wake up, looking at Soap, looking behind him as well to see what was happening. "Why'd you wake me up?" The irritated undertone was visible in my voice, although the happiness in his eyes never went away.

"Just wanting ya' to be up before we get there, yeah? You've been restin' the whole flight." Telling by how the outside looked based on the windows, I figured we were almost at the base. But jeez, i must've been really tired if I got a night's worth of rest in one flight. "'Kay, thanks Soap." I flash him a quick smile before my eyes fall on some of the other members here as I see him walk away. Horangi was sitting with Gaz and they seemed to be waiting for the man to come back to continue their game of cards. We had less than 20 minutes left until we landed. My heart ached at what awaited for me back at base.

Horangi had managed to calm me down before we landed. He told me how others won't be as friendly at first, whilst most would be welcoming. Alejandro and Rodolfo had to get dropped off at another airport because they were just a temporary need. I got to know them as well and both seemed like good people.

We were now entering the base, which was big in comparison to most relative facilities and military bases. "Don't 'yer worry sweetheart, the blokes will love ya." He sends me a hearty smile as we get closer to what I assume is the main room, several men sitting down chatting away, or watching TV. The closer we got, the shorter my strides got, the more distant my frame was from the others. At this point I really was the example of a child in the first day of school, hiding myself behind Price and the others in a almost secretive way. Unfortunately Laswell couldn't stay since she did the 'behind the scenes' things.

We were now within earshot of them, causing Price to do his usual greeting. "Good to see you boys." He greets loud enough for them to hear, shooting a genuine smile. Meanwhile, I'm standing behind yet slight to the side of him as my eyes dart everywhere. The Scotsman gives me a light tap on the shoulder, almost as if he can sense my anxiety, followed by Horangi and Gaz giving me an acknowledging nod. Him and the others start to break apart, going to say their possibly long awaited greetings. "Hey lt!" Soap goes over to a scary ass masked man. His face covered by a skull balacava, his hands hidden away by skeleton hand gloves. He was wearing a black short sleeve compression shirt, black cargo pants that were tucked into black combat boots. He really seemed to be into dark colored clothes.

Must be the lut-leut-lieutant? Fuck, is that it? Either way he's fine.

Huh? Shut up! You don't even know his name yet.

I start to hope my existence was somehow forgotten, but that was quickly cut short when Price managed to get the guys attention. My frame was small enough to linger behind his bigger figure, making me let out a breath of relief until he says this. "We have a...," he pauses for a moment, attempting to search for the right word for my unique situation "unexpected addition, that will be joining us." He smiles at them like a proud father that manage to find his child's lost toy. That causes the skull masked man to finally pay attention to what he has to say. He doesn't seem interested, and quite the opposite of happy to be honest. Irritated it seems. More or less.

"New addition? Well Cap, where they at?" A few of the soldiers look at each other, whilst the few that were in the plane with me look away with knowing eyes. They don't seem to notice them doing so which makes me mentally thank them. "Y/n, will ya', please?" Price politely ask me, his head slightly turned to the side, the name making a few of the faces filled with confusion. This was starting to feel like something out of kindergarten but nevertheless, I hesitantly and slowly, come out from behind. As I saw the shocked faces and longer than they should be stares, a pit of anxiety and regret for wearing such a clad shirt and anything but modest shorts started to form in my stomach until the Captain spoke again. "This is Y/n. She may be a big surprise, but nothing we can't handle alright?" He announced in a calm and welcoming manner. "Show her some respect. I expect nothing short of you all, alright mates?" I hear multiple of responses to his statement. But right after I noticed the man with the skull mask staring right into my soul. His gaze was cold and seemingly mad. The last thing I wanted to do was get on that dudes bad side. I quickly look away, and turn my attention to the men in front of me.
