"I call shotgun!"

"Nope! Nu-uh! I already did."

We're not even fucking outside yet and we're doing this?

"Mhm, you two keep doing that, while I-" He then plugs a charger into the laptop. "-Continue my extensive research." He sits up against the wall, the device in his lap, Soap shooting him a look as he does. Horangi decides to join him by taking a seat alongside him.

"Whatever, keep watching your weird porn." I say playfully with a scoff as I begin to walk out.

Keegan's eyebrow perks up at this, followed with him slowly shaking his head. "If only you knew." He mutters only loud enough for Horangi to understand. That causes me to abruptly stop, curiosity getting to me. "What was that?" I asked slightly amused. "Nothing you should worry about." He replies with a wink. I quip back a smile and make my way out, starting my eerie journey through the barracks once again.

Whilst wandering around, distracted with tracing my fingers along the wall, I see the shadow of a huge stature lingering around the corner. I hesitantly turn, quieting my steps. I almost yelp at the mysterious figure until it suddenly becomes familiar. "Konig? Sir?" He seemed to be in thought before I broke him out of it. I put my hand out as I attempt to properly introduce myself. "Y/n L/n."

"Colonel."

We shake hands for a second too long, then stop. "Sorry I couldn't do that earlier, Colonel." I teasingly say, watching him nod in response, almost uninterested.

Cocky motherfucker...

I take in his casual attire, a short sleeve shirt that hugs him in the right places with jeans almost too fitted at his thighs. My eyes travel up his arm, and I admire what I couldn't earlier. He seems to have taken notice to this as he awkwardly clears his throat. "You're going out with them, ja?" My heart flutters at his Austrian accent mixed with the use of German words, his tone hushed.

"Yeah, I could definitely use it." I let out a small sigh. "And you're not?" He shrugs. "That's...undecided, meine kleine mädchen." I smile at his words, although I have no idea what that meant. "I think you should come, try something new." I say letting out a chuckle.

As he was about to say something, Soap appears around the corner, relieved and out of breath as he talks. "There you are, been looking for ya'." He pauses to catch his breath. "Seems you found 'em. Car's ready." He flashes a quick smile, patting me on my shoulder as a glint of something else more complex shows in his eyes as he looks at the both of us, leaving us be afterwards.

The car ride to the bar wasn't very eventful, small chatter here and there. Soap and Horangi's small talk putting everyone in a laid back mood for what's to come. My luck wasn't the best considering I somehow managed to get stuck between the biggest men in the car. "Are we there yet?" I ask with a hint of irritation in my voice, squirming uncomfortably against both Ghost and Konig.

Damn them both.

"Just a few more minutes..." Price had been saying that for quite a few minutes. I sigh, "Yeah, yeah." I mumble. I couldn't handle the death glares from Ghost and getting the life squished out of me. As much as I hated to admit, they were scary. Ghost really sparked a nerve in me though. Ever since I got here, he ignored me, never even bothering to let me get a word in. Konig on the otherhand seemed like an internal wreck. He's been fidgeting since the start of the ride, seemingly slowing down or stopping completely when I adjusted myself for more comfort.

So odd.

We make it to the bar, all of us relieved to be there. Whilst everyone else is getting their drinks, I stand off to the side, unsure since I don't drink. "You getting anything?" My head jerks in the direction of Keegan's voice. "Hm, I'm more of a wine type of girl." I say a bit unsure. I only had it a few times, and it was all I knew. So technically it was true. "You sure?" Roach chimes in. "Looks like it." Keegan smirks, looking me up and down, his response laced with a hidden meaning.
