The flowers at your feet were full of color and life; some bigger than others, others with smaller and untidy petals, yet they were still so beautiful and bright under the sunlight.
You slowly bent down when you glimpsed a lovely butterfly flying without any apparent destination, just circling around, almost as if it had been made for that purpose.
Gently, you raised your hand for the small living being to settle on your fingers. And perhaps, seeing your lack of animosity, it was unnecessary for the little creature to perch on your slender fingers.
You smiled appreciating the bright blue of its delicate wings. The butterfly lingered on your fingers for a moment before flying away.
You stood up from where you were, still holding the smile that had now become playful. You took a step, ready to follow the beautiful insect before stopping to look back at your mother.
Tsunade, the goddess of agriculture and fertility, was still in the same place as before, looking at the strange tree that refused to bear its fruits. You supposed the young apple tree was throwing a tantrum again.
Your mother had told you not to stray from her for any reason, and even though you promised you wouldn't, your feet began to move on their own, picking up considerable speed to catch up with the butterfly that had caught your attention.
Unbeknownst to you, you found yourself venturing into the thicket of the forest. Your feet briefly stopped when you came across a small stream. You chuckled as you began to hop on the rocks protruding from the water before continuing your search for the butterfly.
The bright blue caught your attention, making you run towards where you thought you had seen it. When you arrived, you noticed something that made you stop: there was no trace of the butterfly.
You let out a resigned sigh and, before heading out of the valley you had reached, something caught your attention.
It was a rose, the only one in the valley. It was completely white, with no other color in sight to tarnish its pure and innocent image.
You approached it, bending down to admire it up close.
It was beautiful. Very beautiful, indeed.
Perhaps your mother would like it.
After all, she has always liked to keep beautiful things close to her.
You reached out your pristine hand, ready to pluck it from the earth. And just as you were delicately cutting the thin stem to keep it perfect, a presence behind you abruptly stopped you.
You let out a soft sigh of relief when you turned around and saw nothing to alarm you, but a gasp of terror escaped your lips when you turned back to your original position and saw someone in front of you.
It was a being completely covered in a black cloak. And before you could even stand up to flee, that thing pounced on you.
The only thing you managed to do before losing consciousness was to scream for your mother and pray that she had heard you.
