"Cora..?"

"Yes, Willy?" I responded in a rush, my brain filling with different thoughts.

"I think I lost your handkerchief..." Before I could tell him that it's alright, he continued to blame it on his selfishness and carelessness. "I'm so, so sorry- I didn't mean to- it meant so much to me and I-"

"Willy-"

"I don't even know how I lost it, I've been flipping over all my things-"

"Willy-"

"I'm so sorry-"

"WILLY, FUCKING LISTEN TO ME!"

He grew silent, but I could see his eyes watery before tears landed on his face.

No, not your pretty face...

"Please don't cry, it's all alright, at least I knew you liked it." I walked over to his bed where he was sitting down, sat next to him, and put my head on his shoulder. "Now, please calm down and listen to me. Take a few deep breaths, breathe in... breathe out..."

He did as I said, and finally wiped his tears away with the back of his hand. "Thank you, Cora."

"You're welcome, love."

"I'm quite flattered at being called 'love'," he joked. "Do you have any idea where the handkerchief might be? It's the first handkerchief that someone has gifted me."

Where it is... Then it hit me. While we were selling chocolate illegally and escaping through manholes- that's it, manholes!

The handkerchief was left stuck between the manhole cover and the manhole entrance.

And we are all in grave danger.
