Tears shed through Inko long lashes, as they rolled down her chubby cheeks. Her weary shaken hand placed down the light yellow note only for her to pick up another one.
Inko eyes wonder down to Katsuki, whom eyes seemed so.. demented. Wide vermilion eyes stared at her back. The only thought that could come across into Inko's mind was 'why?'
Inko let out a huff shaking her head, trying to erase the forgotten memory that happened over 10 years ago. It didn't matter today was Katsuki 16th birthday it wasn't the time to dwell on painful memories it'll only bring down the mood and Katsuki didn't need that.
"AHH- K- KaccHAN! TH-THERES A SPID-SPIDER!!"
"STOP STUTTERING DIMWIT!!"
Inko rolled her jade eyes placing down the decorative cake, it was strawberry ice cream. Katsuki loved strawberries.
"Katsuki Bakugo! what I say about em bad words!" Inko made her way to Izuku room where the spider claim to be "BUT! Deku here being a little slowwww, you know and I both know that aunty!" She opened the door to the room seeing the blond and her green headed son back up against his desk obviously scared whilst the blond who was holding a chancla teasing Izuku.
"KaCHANN STOP! ..MAaaa"
Inko crossed her arms glaring at the explosive boy. Katsuki quickly dropped it glancing off to the side as if he was committing a crime and was caught red-handed "Just cause it's ya birthday don't mean you start actin out" She said smiling showing the blond she wasn't serious.
"Now hurry up take a shower the both of you! And clean y'all's rooms we have guest coming over!" She closed the door behind her rolling her eyes once again hearing the boys bicker on who's cleaning what.
The Doorbell ringed and then a Knock was heard 'weird' the guest wouldn't be coming over till another hour from now and she wasn't expecting anyone else to come earlier. "Uh is this the Midoriya —residents?" She heard a male and voices coming in and out of a walkie talkie. 'A cop?' Inko weary hands unlocked the door keeping ajar for her body to peek through.
She glanced the officer up and down "Yes it is." He let out a awkward cough as his eyes filled with .. dare she thinks it but..sorrow? "Hi ma'am I'm sorry for the intrusion but..Does an Katsuki Bakugo live here?"
Inko was now worried, many questions raced through her head as another shaken hand held her chest. "uh- Well yes. Did something happen?" The green hair lady didn't know what to think. —Did Katsuki get into some trouble with the law? Nonono.. He won't ever. She raised him well to the best of her ability even after.. his parents.
"Well. Can I speak with him?" Inko was frustrated whatever the officer had to say to Katsuki she needed to know.
"I am his! Me. I am his Guardian! so whatever you need to speak to him about I need to know first!." The Officer was baffled but he knew the lady was correct.
"Yes your right, I apologize. It's about his biological Parents, 𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐤𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐠𝐨.. she passed away."
Ringing sounded into Inko ears, Her heart raced. No..no not today it's his birthday. Katsuki already been through so much. She clenched her chest as globs of tears rolled down her face onto the wood planked floor.
"She was murdered. And we suspect it to be her Ex- Husband. 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐮 𝐁𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐠𝐨. We don't know where to track him but we believe that he might be after Katsuki. So if you see or hear anything please contact us immediately." The officer handed her a card after bowing his head giving her a gently goodbye.
The ringing in her ears slowly faded away as she came back into reality. Inko closed the door wiping the tears from her face as she heard someone come out of a room. "Aunty?"
"Kaa-Katsuki! Yes?" She turned around smiling as if nothing was wrong. Katsuki looked at suspiciously seeing the red puffed eyes, although he wasn't going to comment on it. "You okay?" His faced scrunched up in worry.
"Ye..Yes yes! Now hurry and clean your room!" Inko tried to play it off smiling, waving Katsuki off as she looked away finding the floor more interesting.
"Okay!" He rolled his eyes but listening to her anyway, returning back to his room. Regardless on what was going on with the lady, He was bound to find out sooner or later.
