Y/n's POV
As I playfully ran around the Hughes lake house, a surge of mischievous energy prompted me to jump onto the counter. "Yes, sir, look who's towering over you now," I teased, bursting into laughter and spontaneous dance moves. Luke, my partner in crime, chuckled at my antics, accustomed to our playful banter. "What are you doing?" he asked, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "I'm taller, so clearly, I'm the superior one," I quipped, meeting his gaze with a mischievous grin. Luke's expression softened into a smile as he gently urged, "Can you please come down now?" Defiantly, I shook my head, declaring, "Nope, because I'm the tallest one here." Luke, with a mix of exasperation and fondness, insisted, "Come on, Y/n, I don't want you to get hurt." Ignoring his concerns, I playfully retorted, "I won't," reveling in our lighthearted back-and-forth.

Luke's POV
Watching Y/n refuse to budge from her perch on the counter, I couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration and adoration for her stubborn yet endearing nature. "Why is she so stubborn and adorable at the same time?" I mused to myself, trying to suppress a smile. Meeting her determined gaze, I attempted to convey my seriousness, urging her to come down. "Yes, I am mad. Please, get down," I implored, hoping she would heed my words. After a moment's pause, she relented with a resigned "Fine." But just as I thought she was about to comply, she exclaimed, "Yolo, bitch," halting her descent. Chuckling at her antics, I scooped her up in my arms and gently placed her back on the ground, unable to stay mad at her for long.

Y/n's POV
Disappointed at no longer being the tallest in the room, I pouted, gazing down at the floor. Luke, ever the comforting presence, lifted my chin with a tender touch and reassured me, "But you're my little shorty." A mischievous glint sparkled in my eyes as I smirked and leaned in to kiss him, grateful for his unwavering support and playful affection.
