Wilhems POV:

"Come on pleaseee! You don't have to sing!" He begs as we are laying in bed, me attempting to get to bed and him trying to prevent me from sleeping until I agree to go to a karaoke night tomorrow with him as his idea of a romantic date night.
"Promise you won't make me sing?" I say, really just wanting to give in and agree so that I could at least try to get some sleep.
"Promise!" He says nodding his head in excitement.
"Then what's the point of going there then?" I ask, genuinely wondering what the point would be.
"Because I want to! And plus you love listening to me sing" He says, as if it was the most obvious thing ever. Probably because it is.
"Ok fine, but I'm not singing!" I finally give in.
"Yeah, we will see about that after you get a drink in you" he laughs and turns over to get in his preferred sleeping position, "night," he says in a sing song tone.
"Goodnight," I sigh out, quite defeated from the previous conversation, and also to adequately juxtapose Simons happy tone.

The evening after, Simon and I are getting ready.
"What do you even wear to karaoke?" I whine, not knowing what to wear after longingly staring at my closet and at this point literally hoping the clothes pick me. Simon walks over and almost instantly picks out a dressy, white with small dark grey freckled, shirt and a pair of jeans all tied together with a pair of red and white Nike trainers. I put it on, not really feeling like arguing, or feeling the need as I feel it's an appropriate thing to wear for such events.
"You ready?" Simon asks as I'm tying my shoe laces, I stand up and nod, throwing a coat over my shoulders.
"Are you not bringing a coat or jacket or anything?" I ask and he shakes his head, scrunching his nose in an adorable way.
"Nope, it's not that cold out" he shrugs.
"Fine, but you're not having mine if you get cold!" I say in attempt to be stern and warn him, but, of course, failing quite miserably.
"Well we'll just have to see about that" he whispers before reaching up to kiss me quickly and running out of my dorm.

The karaoke place is quite small, the tables are sticky and I have a headache not even a minute after walking in. But I suck it up, for Simon.
"Here?" Simon asks pointing to a two seater table in the back corner of the room, all I have the strength to do is nod weakly and walk over.
"What are you gonna sing then? I need some good singing because whoever is singing now absolutely sucks and I thought this was gonna be like an 'I see someone cute hear them sing then make out with them in the bathroom' kind of night" I say, trying to make myself sound serious. It gets a small, but insanely adorable laugh out of him. He reaches across the table, holding his hands out as a symbol for me to grab them, which I happily do.
"You pick!" He says.
"I don't know what song you should sing?" I say, quite surprised at the fact he wanted me to be the one to pick.
"Well while you have a think, I'm gonna go get the first round of drinks," he announces, "what would you like?"
"Can I have a glass of white wine please?" I rub my thumb over his as I speak.
"Regular or large?"
"Large, I'm gonna need a lot of alcohol tonight. Listen I love you but this is not my ideal date night!" I laugh, because he's already very aware.
"I know, and that makes me love you even more!" Then he gets up, leans across the very small, very sticky table and kisses me gently on the cheek before leaving to buy the drinks.

Whilst he's gone, I try my very best to tune out the astonishingly bad voice of whoever is singing and think of something for Simon to sing. Shortly after, he returns with two glasses.
"Here you go, my prince!" He says placing the large glass in front of me. I smile as a thanks and instantly take a sip. Then I see his glass, which is filled with an orange and pink ombré colluded drink.
"What did you get?" I ask.
"Orange and Raspberry Cocktail, wanna try some?" It sounds like a rather interesting combination but he slides the drink over to me so I wrap my lips around the rim to drink some, and it may be one of the best things I've ever tasted, which Simon makes out from the look on my face and the way I slide down in my chair.
"Do you want one?" He asks, chuckling, but also sliding the drink back to his side of the table so I get the hint that he actually wants it and is not for me.
"I'll get one after I've had this!" I say,  pointing to my glass "I had no idea they had these though !" He smiles at me.
"What song have you chosen for me then?" He says as he rests his head of his hand.
"It takes a fool to remain sane" I say, copying his movements and also resting my head on my palm., "it's the first sing I ever heard you sing," he sticks out his bottom lip and kisses me over the table.

After everyone with a bad voice had ruined my eardrums and sanity with their singing, it was finally Simons turn. I was actually quite excited. And also, by that time, quite drunk too. When he started singing, he was looking in my direction the whole time, smiling from ear to ear and giggling through the song when I started to clap along. His voice is beautiful. He is beautiful. He's like an angel I've been gifted, and will forever be grateful for. It wasn't the most professional I've ever heard him sing, and by that I mean I don't think he would've been offered a record deal with his performance, but to me it was the best I'd ever heard him. Pure and happy.

When he finished he got a round of applause bigger than any previous performer. He jogged back over to the table with a huge smile on his face.
"Omg baby you were amazing, I love you!" I said, slurring my words a lot.
"How much have you had to drink?" He laughs.
"About 5," I answer, and a cheeky grin appears on his face.
"Willeeeee," he drags out my name and leans over the table, "how would you feel about singing a duet with me?" All I can do is laugh and shake my head, but before I'm aware of what I'm doing, I've had another two drinks and singing the princesses part of 'Love is an Open Door' from Frozen in front of a room full of people who previously respected me as their future king. Never mind, this is way better.

Once we have finished with our glorious rendition of the song, Simon makes the executive decision that staying any longer may not end well, and takes me home as I've had about 3 too many drinks. We stand outside the place, the faint sound of music coming through the walls as we wait for the Uber Simon ordered. That's when I notice he's shivering, so I instantly take off my coat and put it on him, holding him close to me by the waist.
"I thought I wasn't allowed your jacket?" He smiles, knowing I would never let him be cold, even if it meant I was freezing.
"Shut up," I laugh, "how long until the Uber gets here?" I ask and he pulls out his phone to check.
"About 5 minutes," he responds. We then spend a few minutes in a comfortable silence, gently swaying together and looking at the stars.
"Admit it, you had fun once you got drunk," and even though I can't see his face, I can tell he's smiling, which makes me smile too.
"Yeah, I had fun,"
