Nrityanjali POV :
"Nritya..Aruuu come downstairs! Khana tayar hai!" My mom's voice echoed from downstairs, pulling me away from my laptop. I closed my laptop and made my way downstairs.
( dinner is ready)As I entered the dining area, I could smell the delicious aroma of something wonderful cooking. "Wow, what's cooking today?" I exclaimed, already excited. "Your favorite, bhindi ki sabji!" my mom replied, making my day.
I absolutely love bhindi.I served myself a plate, following our household rule of only taking what we can finish. It's a good practice, I think.
As I started eating, my mom's voice interrupted again. "ARUU, NICHE AAH NAHI TO KHANA KHATAM HONE KE BAAD MAI KUCH NAHI BANA KE DENE WALI !" she shouted, causing my dad to chuckle.
(Aru,if you don't come down now, you won't get anything to eat after dinner!?)He quickly stopped when my mom shot him a glare. I chuckled to myself, thinking about the power of a wife's glare.
* Patni ka khauf *Just as I was enjoying my meal peacefully, I felt a playful smack on the back of my head. "Papaaaaaa!" I protested, knowing it was Araav.
Arav settled into his seat, and my dad shot him a stern look,"Aaruu" my dad warned, giving Araav a look, while I stuck my tongue out at him.
As we all enjoyed our meal, my father suddenly made an announcement.
"Listen, tomorrow one of my old friend is coming to visit me. So, I expect everyone to behave well, especially you, Araav" he said. After nodding in agreement, the table erupted with chatter as everyone recounted their day's adventures.
As I was eating the image of the boy in the green shirt suddenly popped into my head. I couldn't shake the memory, no matter how hard I tried....
'Wait why am I even thinking about him?' I thought. "Nritya, you can see he's just a playboy. You're not foolish, so it's best to avoid him at all costs," I reasoned with myself.
Phew, with tomorrow being Sunday, I could finally catch a breather from college chaos and, fingers crossed, dodge any unexpected run-ins with Mr. Green Shirt.
Ohhhh how wrong i was.. because turns out, fate had a wicked sense of humor waiting just around the corner.

I woke up, thankfully feeling relieved that today I wasn't greeted with a splash of water to my face.
Yawning, I made my way to the bathroom to freshen up. After a refreshing shower and a thorough teeth-brushing session, I stood in front of the mirror, inspecting my pearly whites. "Oh ho, they're sparkling clean" I chuckled to myself..
I stepped outside in my robe, the morning breeze gently caressing my skin.
"Bapree baap ehihi thandi thandi" I exclaimed, wrapping my arms around myself for warmth. Quickly, I switched my AC to heat mode, feeling relieved as the warmth enveloped me.
I strolled over to my closet and picked out an outfit. Usually, I don't bother with this whole outfit selection business at home. I just throw on whatever's easiest to grab. But today, Dad's friend is coming over, so I figured I should aim for atleast looking halfway decent.
So, I slipped into this comfy outfit, did a quick skincare routine, and headed out of my room. As I walked downstairs, my stomach let out a loud grumble. " mere bacche ko book lagi hai ...ruko abhi khana khate hai" I joked, rubbing my hungry belly.(Looks like my stomach's asking for a meal. Let's eat now)
Today's breakfast was poha and piping hot ginger tea. I grabbed my plate and settled down on the living room floor next to the sofa..enjoying my meal while watching Shinchan.
The morning passed quickly, and soon it was time for lunch and for my dad's friend to arrive.
I heard a knock on the door...
I was laying on the sofa, one leg dangling off the edge... "Hey, go check who's at the door" I lazily instructed my brother without bothering to lift my gaze.
"Haa bhai mai kyu jau?? Tu jaa.." he shot back... As the bell rang again, I sighed and rolled my eyes, I mustered some energy, and dragged myself to the door.
I opened the door to find a man standing there, looking like he had more stories than a library. He smiled warmly and asked, "Is this the house of Mihir Rane?" I nodded, looking at him confused.
"Ah, you must be his daughter... I'm his old college friend" he said, extending his hand.
Before I could respond, another voice interrupted, "Dad, here's your car keys."I blinked looking at the person standing before me..my eyes widening with each passing moment. His eyes mirrored my expression, both of us seemingly frozen in disbelief.
Oh, Krishna Ji, why would you do this to me? I thought as my mind raced with absurd scenarios.
Suddenly, I felt like I was in a funny TV show, with the universe playing a cruel prank on me. I half-expected a laugh track to start playing in the background as we stood there, staring at each other in utter bewilderment.
"TUMM" We both said...looking at each other, our voices echoing in the hallway. This unexpected meeting was like something out of a funny movie. It felt like the universe was playing a joke on us.
This was not how I wanted my Sunday to end...
