✪ Episode 28| The Resistance

At a restaurant in Centium City.

Bree is having dinner with Matt, he called her earlier and said he has important information about the superhuman case and wants Jasmin's help.

Chase monitors everything from the command center with Harper.

Bree hangs her bag on the chair and turns to Matt. "So what did you need to tell me about so urgently?" Bree asks, she forgets Jasmin's English accent "Since when do you speak with an American accent?" Matt asks frowning.

"Bree!" Chase says on the communicator "I'm training my accent for field work" Bree says convincingly "Oh It's very good" Matt smirk

"I'm flattered" Bree says with an accent, Matt smiles "Get straight to the point" Harper says.

"So..." Matt puts a folder on the table "What is this?" Bree asks "I was on a stakeout yesterday to monitor a criminal route. There I started to notice something beyond my mission" Matt says.

Matt starts to explain but Chase and Harper are distracted when Adam walks in with Evan crying in his arms "Uuhhg! Chase..." Adam groans.

Chase turns to Adam "Evan won't stop crying, Grace is freaking out and I've tried everything" Adam says "And what do I have to do with this?" Chase says impatiently.

Adam rocks the baby, he is visibly tired. The typical face of a father of a newborn.

"Just do your thing" Adam says "My thing?" Chase asks "Yeah. Here" Adam says handing the baby into Chase's arms "Uh...okay, Calm down little buddy" Chase says calmly, Harper smiles at the scene.

Evan slowly stops crying when Chase starts rocking him "There it is" Chase smirks at his nephew "Woah! Seriously man, how do you do that? I've been trying to make him stop crying for two hours" Adam says impressed.

"I have no idea..." Chase says trying to hand Evan back to Adam "Oh no no, he's going to cry again. Do you mind keeping him while I take a shower?" Adam says walking backwards.

"Adam can't you see that I'm in the middle of a mission...." Chase says "Thank you, you're the best brother ever!" Adam says from afar running out.

Chase sighs impatiently and looks at Harper "Don't look at me, no one told you to be some kind of human pacifier" Harper giggles, Chase frowns "Yeah I heard Adam calling you that earlier today" Harper says.

Chase rolls his eyes and continues rocking the baby "I just put the comm set back in my ear" Chase tells Harper, she gets up and puts the comm set on him while he keeps Evan calm.

Meanwhile, Matt explains to Bree that he started investigating a group of people in the south of the city.

"Okay tell me what did you find?" Bree asks "Remember the conversation we had a while ago, about the groups protesting to abolish the bionic law and free superheroes?" Matt asks "Yeah, protesters are everywhere" Bree says..

Matt opens the folder with numbered records of people "What is this?" Bree asks "I've been counting and finding the personal records of every Protestant I've been able to find out there" Matt says.

"Focus on this Bree" Harper says, Bree discreetly holds the pendant on her necklace that was a micro camera and directs it to the files.

Harper and Chase look at the files "save this frame Harp" Chase says, Evan whimpers "Shhh" Chase says softly rocking the baby "Done" Harper says messing with the keyboards.

Matt flips through the folder "Matt, that's a lot of people" Bree says "Exactly. I noticed they were all spotted going to the same place sometimes even on the same day, in a suspicious way" Matt says.
