A few minutes as all it took for both boys to hear the clacking of horseshoes on the pavement, surrounded by buildings reminding them of the westerns they used to watch. This town also had a stable, making it easy to return the horses. Despite the little time they had to spend on its back Johnny would always remember Slow Dancer and its silver mane, just like Gyro remembered Valkyrie. They were confronted to a major issue: going back home. They didnt plan to stop at that place and now they were stuck here.

Both horses secured from the rain in their box, Johnny had to piggyback ride Gyro who was pretty used to it by now. Entering a pub seeming like a gas station more than a actual restaurant, Gyro sat Johnny to a table. "Okay, stay here Johnny. I'm gonna look for some gentleman who could accept to drive us as close to home as he can." he tried to reassure Johnny and his easily anxious mind, patting his shoulder before retreating. As a waiter walked to Johnny's table he only asked for Cola. Watching Gyro call out random dudes who sat nonchallantly in this crappy pub gave him time to breathe out and think. The more he denied his feelings for the italian boy the stronger they came back. Without being conscious of it his gaze lingered of the way his hips swayed at every step, like it was a target to his piercing eyes. He wished to share another moment like the previous night as soon as possible, but no, it wasn't just lust, it was deeper, more profound and complex. God, how love could be complicated sometimes.

G: Hey, Are you listening ?

J: Huh ?!

Like a sleepy student scolded by a teacher,  Johnny stiffened, looking up to meet Gyro's face. Gyro groaned in bother as he sat face to face with his younger friend, alerting him of the news.

"Got some good news," Gyro announced, tangling his fingers together and his legs crossed under the table. "We got a guy to drive us home. there's only one problem though, he'll take the road in a hour or so, and we gotta wait."

Johnny sighed. "It's not that bad, I can wait." He paused, crossing his arms on the table and burriying his face onto them, only letting a eye out. Glancing at Gyro's face didn't help when he tried to stop his heart from fluttering so fast. "So, are we staying here ? Or what ?" He asked with a slight smile, resting his elbow on the wooden surface and his chin on his palm. He wished so hard to stay somewhere alone with Gyro, just a few moment. "Well, follow me, I'll show you that dude first, I gotta ask him something." He pulled Johnny's arms up over his shoulder, yanking the handicaped up on his back again. "this is embarassing, you know." Johnny complained, resting his forehead on Gyro's shoulder to hide his blush and pouting face.

Gyro chuckled, pulling Johnny's legs higher around his waist and walking to the outside of the pub, about to meet a older man smoking a cigarette against the windowpane. This man pulled out a smirk at the sight of the boy riding the other, this same smirk making Johnny's blood boil in shame and frustration.

G: This dude's name is Frank. He told me where he was going, he could drop you at your place on the way.

Frank gave a sympathetic hand sign and a quick look at Johnny, who hid his face and mumbled into Gyro's shirt.

J: Great. And what about you ?

G: Guess I can... spend the night at your place ? Your parents like me, right ?

J: Not really, you're just so annoying and stubborn they can't even say no to you.

G: Come oooon, that's not true. They just can't resist my charisma.

J: FINE, fine. You'll come at my place. Anyway, can I ask you something, Frank ?

Frank raised an eyebrow, he blew off smoke out of his mouth and nosetrils and gave a small head gesture upwards, waiting for Johnny to ask away.

J: Me and my friend are pretty tired and would want some time before you take the road. Could we perhaps stay in your car while it's parked ? a small silence. You're keeping the keys, don't worry, I'm not gonna steal your carriage.

Frank chuckled again, an habit that started to really piss off Johnny. Gyro would also prefer if he could let Johnny down, the guy was getting heavy after all. With another head gesture, he turned his back and walked to his car, a old dust covered Jeep placed in a corner of a empty parking lot.  As the lights flickered and the door clicked open, Gyro helped Johnny up on the seat, struggling to find enough place to manspread in the messy interior of the car filled with bags freshed out of the grocery store. "I got a family to feed home," Frank explain, his finger gesturing to the mess of the car's floor. Picking his keys in his fist, he was about to leave them waiting on their own. "I'll be back in a short hour. Behave, boys." With that, he left, the signal of the two boys's privacy being another flicker and click of the engine.
