After I got home from handling my business, it was well after midnight. I came into the house that I shared with Teena and as usual she was awake and on 10 about something....
"Joe!! I've been calling and texting you for the last 4 hours, where the hell you been?!" Teena screeched at me.
"Woman?! Don't be scolding me like I'm no damn kid!! I'm a grown ass man and don't answer to you!" I snap.
"I asked you a question! I ain't tryna hear that shit 'bout you a grown ass man." She shot back.
"I was out handling business, like I always do!!" I snapped, as she was really getting on my damn nerves.

"Teena, are we really doing this right now? Like for real, you know that she has my daughter and another on the way. You also know that neither you or her ever lack for anything!!!! Hell, you haven't worked since our youngest son was born and even then, you was only working part time. So what the hell are you coming at me about?!" I yelled as I had lost my temper.
After a few moments of silence, Teena spoke again...
"You come home now later and later, more so now that she's pregnant again." Teena says with a pout.
"Again, as I said before Teena, I'm out here handling business so that my women and kids are well provided for! And lemme tell you something else! As long as I'm the provider, neither you nor Dee are gonna scold me or question me like I'm a fucking kid!!! Do I make myself crystal clear?! Do you understand that?!" I bark, clearly pissed all the way off.
Teena remained quiet but she still had an attitude because she was rolling her eyes.
"Girl, I know you hear me talking to you. I said is that clear?!" I say, as I'm now in her face bending my head so that I can look directly into her blue eyes.
"Yeah I hear you." Teena scoffed.
"Stop playing with me girl." I warned.i
"Are you through?" She asked me with an attitude.
"Let me get in the shower and go to bed, cuz you really pissing me the hell off!!" I say as I stormed off into the bathroom, slamming the door so hard, I cracked the door frame.
Once I am in the bathroom, I stare at myself in the mirror and take notice of the grey hairs sprinkled through my beard and the few that's in my hair.
"Damn, I'm getting old." I say as I turn on the shower.
I took my man bun loose letting my hair over my shoulders and then I stripped and got into the shower. As the hot water hits my body, I began to reflect....

Doesn't Teena know that I love her and my sons with everything in me? I mean she was the first woman I had ever gotten into a relationship with, the first woman I'd ever had sex with. Hell she gave me my first born, she's been down for me through thick and thin. I take damn good care of her and my boys and will protect them with my life. But she has to understand that as much as I love her and my sons, I love Dee Dee and my daughters just as much, and I will also protect them with my life. All I know is that I am going to have to come up with a solution so that this whole arrangement can run smoothly. Because doing what I do, I'm already under enough stress and I don't need stress in my personal life. One of my Nigerian connections, Henry Okonkwo has three wives and multiple children and it runs smoothly for him. Henry is a very family oriented man and it was he that told me that it was possible for a man to have more than one woman as long as he was building families and properly taking care of said families and that's what I am doing with Teena and Dee Dee.
After I finish showering, I dry myself off, brush my teeth and put my boxers on. When I go into the bedroom, I see that Teena is fast asleep. Not bothering to wake her, I climb in bed and as I set my alarm, I see a text from Dee Dee....

It makes me smile and I text back...
"Sweet dreams baby girl...I love you too."
And with that, I fall asleep with a smile on my face.
