Lovers (Korra x asami)

Air temple island

When Korra got back to the island Tenzin was waiting for her. He stood there in the classic orange colours of the air nomads, with his bald head and blue arrow. When Korra jumped off naga Tenzin marched over to her and began to argue "Korra, where have you been, you was gone all night"

Korra blushing, "Oh..well...I was...ahem. I was following a group of triad members that were acting suspicious, I thought they might be up to something" Korra says knowing it's not true.she tries to hide the lie that she made but she was unsure weather he had bought it.

Tenzin replied, "ok Korra, that's fine, just alert someone next time ok?"
Korra replies "will do, master Tenzin"
A few months later...

Korra walks to the training area to practice her bending, "after Zaheer poisoned me I seemed to have lost some of my bending capabilities; and now I need to practice more." She warms up by throwing a few air kicks and water whips after that she begins to spar with one of the white lotus fire benders and soon he is on the floor half charred by korra's immense fire bending.

She cools off and heads to the meditation gardens, there, she saw a few other new air benders meditating so she snuck in and sat down on the grass away from the other benders. She focuses on Asami and how she felt with her, she wanted Asami to be with her every day. The emotions that Korra expressed inside her mind led to her speaking to the past Avatars.

In her mind:

She sits down facing kyoshi and begins to explain what she feels. "I love Asami and I don't know what to do. Does she love me? What do I do if she doesn't?" Kyoshi speaks in a Soft tone, "I was in the same position as you when I was alive, in love with a girl in a society that doesn't except that. In your situation it could be seen either way. It could be ok, in the fact that you and Asami are powerful women as your the Avatar and she's the CEO of a company. On the other hand, I also understand that people in power usually have a pedigree of sorts to uphold so the likelihood of this happening before is slim. What ever the way I'm sure she loves you as much as you love her" Korra thanks kyoshi and opens her eyes.

Back to the regular world:

Korra stands up and goes inside to get something to eat, she can't help but think about Asami and the things Kyoshi said. She sit at an abandoned table; away from the other air benders where it is quiet inside the loud canteen; and starts eating her food.

Asami's POV:

Asami sits at her desk is the tall future industries building and wonders how she can get to be with Korra. She wants to be with Korra but doesn't want anyone else to know. She looks at her papers on her desk; stressed; and realises the plans for the new battle suits to fight kuvira's army. "That's perfect" she squeals with excitement. I can make out that a trip is needed to review the plans for the suits. She eagerly rings air temple island and waits for the phone to connect.

The phone connects and to her surprise pema picks up the phone and says "hello,"
"Oh, hi pema it's Asami, is Korra available. I need to talk to her to arrange a meeting to review the blue prints for new battle suits for the war."
"Korra's just eating at the moment but it won't take her long to finish eating."
They both laugh at the joke,
Asami still laughing says, "well she does like her food doesn't she"
Pema says, "anyway is there any reason why all of a sudden you need to meet with Korra, it can't just be about the war."

Asami pulls back from the phone for a second and takes a deep breath. She decides that she can trust pema with what she has to say.
"Promise me you won't tell anyone, please."
"I won't" pema replied
"The truth is pema, you're right, it isn't just about the war. It's because I...I...I love Korra and I want to be with her."
Pema chuckles a bit and replies, "I knew it, the way you looked at each other when you visited, it was different to the way you would look at other people in the group."

"You knew" Asami said surprised
"I only realised because before I got with Tenzin, I was also in love with a beautiful woman, and it was the same way we would look at each other."
"So you have also been through this" Asami said.

"Well, I wasn't trying to win a war or trying to sneak onto an air temple, but yes we were in love, and we couldn't keep our eyes off each other." Pema says.

Pema reassuringly says, "if your worried Asami, don't be, it may seem; confusing; at times but trust me, your love will guide you through it. Besides you two make a great couple."
Asami blushed at this and said thank you to pema for helping her not to worry.

Pema starts again, "Korra should be done now, I'll go get her"
For a minute there was complete silence then the tapping of feet walking back to the phone.

Korra says, "hello who is this"
Asami says in a sultry voice, "why it's me, your one true love"
Korra's excitement grew after hearing Asami's voice, "Asami I've missed you so much"
Asami replied with a smile on her face "so have I, I wanted to see you for so long."
A long silence on the phone.

Finally, the engineer said "anyway, I wanted to meet with you to discuss plans on the development of the new battle suits for the war and to discuss battle tactics on how we're going to defeat kuvira."

They agreed that they should meet up tonight. With that the two beautiful young women couldn't wait to see each other again.
