Chapter 2!!!

           As soon as I got home I ran upstairs trying to hide Duke as soon as I could, I was praying my dad didn't see me come up and I could get duke in my closet but as soon as I shut my closet, my door slammed open. I jumped and spun around to see my dads angry face.

"Did you think you could sneak past me and I wouldn't see you??? Do you really think i'm that dumb Bitch!?" He started taking big, heavy steps towards me and I knew I was screwed for the night.

"n-no no dad I promise I d-don't think your stupid I was just coming to change my shirt it got really dirty on because I fell." I wasnt completly lying it was dirty from carrying duke. He looked down at my shirt to examine it. "Yeah whatever bitch. Where's my whiskey??"

I held it up to him and he snatched it from my hand, he went to walk out and I thought I was in the clear until he turned around and punched me in the ribs hard. "Next time you try to sneak past me its gonna be alot worse!" I layed on the ground coughing from the impact I knew he definitely bruised my ribs and possibly broke one. He then looked in the bag and asked

"Where's the rest of the money?? I know this one bottle didnt cost $20."

My eyes went wide and I thought of something as fast as I could. "Today was Tonys last day. He sold his business to someone else so he uped the price on his last day so he could have some extra money for retirement."

It was stupid yes but I had to tell him something quick and hope he would belive me.

"If I find out your lying to mm I will kill you, do you understand me??" he grabbed my jaw and turned my head towards him. "y-yes sir." he pushed my head to the side and left my room.

After I knew he was gone I went to get duke out I knew he was probably scared. He jumped back when I opened the closet but when he saw it was me he started wagging his tail and came towards me.

"Its just me and you against him now buddy." I picked him up and carried him to the bathroom to bathe him. After I got him bathed I dried him and put him in the bed with me, he snuggled up to me and I knew I was meant to find him. "Goodnight buddy."

I said before tunring off the lamp amd setting an alarm for the morning so I could take him outside before school.

        My alarm went off and I got up, got dressed and put dukes harrness on to take him out. He was good the whole night and he went outside and went potty. "okay buddy you have to stay out here. I'll bring your food when I come back out okay? Be good!!"

I tied him outside and went back in to get ready for school. Lucky for me my dad always slept in from getting drunk the night before. I got ready for school, packed a lunch, went to go grab duke and got in my car to drive to school.

When I got there everything from last night hit me and my ribs ached with every breath, I always kept ibuprofen in my car for this reason so I took three and headed inside.

I brought duke with me, thats my favorite thing about this school they allow you to bring your pet. Abigail came running up to me"OMG ELLA!! YOU GOT A DOG AND YOU DIDNT TELL ME???"

" this is new I just got him yesturday, his name is duke" "aww hi buddy!!!" she held her hand out to him and let him smell it before she pet him, he started wagging his tail and walked to her so she could pet him.

"aww I think he likes you!" "ofc he does everyone does duh!!" I laughed and immediately regretted it because of my ribs and I winced a little bit but covered it up quick so she didn't notice. "yeah sure, I love you tho!" "I love you too ells!" I love that nickname shes the only one that calls me it but its so special to me.

I wish I could just tell her about my dad I know she could help me but I dont want her to get stuck in the middle of it. "Hey did you hear we got new guys?? They are so hot oml!!" "No I didn't. What's their names?" I knew she had already found out she's like a dang detective when it comes to guys.

"Ace Salvatore, and Jackson I dont know his last name but he's the hottest definitely my type!! They just moved here from Italy and they are already the bad boys of the school."

Lacey has already made her claim on Ace because he's taller and looks like he's the boss of the two for sure.

" Lacey was the mean girl of the school, thought she was better than everyone else, biggest pick-me ever known to man. "of course she has."

"Yeah but he's been cold shouldering her so far."

"dang thats weird usally all the guys want her." She makes it known that she gets all the guys.

" Oh here they come!!" just then I turned my head and saw the most handsome man in the world. He was in full black. Black sweats, black boots, black leather jacket, black t-shirt, and a motorcycle helmet in one hand.

"I'm guessing that one's ace?" I ask Abigail refering to the guy in the front.

"yes ma'am, the one behind him in Jackson." Dang Ace is beautiful. As I was watching him it's like he knew I was staring and locked eyes with mine, I blushed and looked away but still had him in my sight, he smirked and looked where he was going.

"ummmm ma'am did you just lock eyes with him??" Abigail asked snapping me out of my trance. "I guess." I said shrugging. "oh this is gonna be a good year." she smiled as we walked to class.
