Chapter 11, "Rumors" S1; ep5
Malakai woke up between Anthony and Maddy. He honestly didn't want to move, but he also knew that they had school, and no way his parents were letting him skip.
Maybe if they knew... but Malakai didn't want to tell them. They'd just end up trying to move him again. And he didn't want that. He turned to the two, He didn't want that...
Maddy woke up with her makeup smeared and looked at an awake Malakai that woke her up. She stretched before she rubbed her eyes and placed her elbow onto her pillow.
Her movement caused the rustling of the sheets to wake up Anthony. He rubbed his eyes.
"So what do you want to do?" Maddy finally asked the question that was silently lingering. She had no idea if he wanted to go to school or take a break from it.
"I—" he pauses before he sighs. "I have to go to school. There's no way my mom or dad will let me off if I do."
Anthony frowns and groans, "I know what that's like."
Maddy let out a small smile before turning to Malakai and placing a reassuring hand on his arm, "We support you no matter what. How far is your house from here?"
"Uh, like a couple blocks away from here," he responds with a scratch to his head. Maddy gets up and checks her phone for the time. Luckily it's relatively early.
"Okay, so here's the plan. I'm going to get dressed and I'll walk you to your house so you can change and Anthony can come so we can try to get to his house after." She lets the two boys process her words before they nod.
Anthony speaks up, "Yeah mine's not that far from Malakai's anyway so this works out perfectly. You mind if I raid your fridge?"
Malakai nods and the two turn to Maddy. She reluctantly nods and with a roll of her eyes, the two excitedly run to find the kitchen.
Maddy smiles to herself before she goes through her closet and gets ready. She finishes taking off her skirt and corset when her door bursts open with Anthony and Malakai with her snacks in their arms.
Maddy yelps and Anthony drops the snacks in his hands as he and Malakai see Maddy in only her underwear and the white blouse she wore the day before.
Malakai apologizes and drags a gawking Anthony out before he gives one last apology as he closes the door.
Maddy doesn't know how to properly react so she just shakes her head with a laugh as she sees the fallen snacks.
