NEW MISSION

"Escape pods incoming. Congratulations on surviving, fam," said a robotic voice.

Donnie was the first to arrive back and emerge out of the pod. A banner appears above as confetti explodes from the air. The other pods arrived, and the others were released as well.

"Is everyone okay? Anybody hurt?" April asked everyone.

"How did we get here?" Asked Cairo.

"Donnie Pods. We've never had to use those before," Donnie explained. "So, how would everyone rate their escape experience? Very satisfied, very very satisfied, extremely satisfied-"

"Donnie!" April interrupted.

"Sorry. Data collection calms me down," Donnie apologized.

Splinter regains consciousness.

"Splints!" Said April.

Vee and Ellie's pods arrived at that moment. Vee jumped out of hers first. "I think Elle has a concussion," she explained. Donnie came over to help Vee with Ellie.

"This is terrible!" Casey exclaimed. "Why did we leave?"

"In case you didn't notice, we were getting our butts kicked!" Mikey shouted, terrified. "It certainly didn't help that some of us lost important abilities like.. I don't know, healing??" Cairo joined in.

"But my mission was to stop them!" Casey yelled. "Right now, the Kraang are using that Key to bring in something that will destroy the world! We lost.."

Raph's Pod arrived, but Leo came out. Casey got out of the way, and Leo stepped out, his heart racing. He looked at his family, their voices muffled by his ringing head.

"Where's my other pod?" Donnie asked, a bit worried.

"Where's Raph?" Vee, Mikey, and Cairo asked, concerned.

Donnie quickly corrected himself. "I mean, where's Raph?"

Leo looked at Casey, who gasped. With anger in his heart, Leo lunges at Casey, but Vee, Cairo, and Mikey hold him back.

"Did you know this would happen?!" Leo furiously asked. "Why didn't you tell me?!"

Casey was confused and a little scared. "What are you talking about?"

"Easy!" Mikey tried calming his brother. "Leo, what's going on?" Vee asked. "Where's Raph?" Cairo asked.

"Leo, what happened to Raph?" Donnie asked him.

"Leonardo?" Splinter looked at him.

Leo stops, and his siblings let him go. "They... they got him," he said.

"You left Raph?" April gasped.

"He left himself. He used his Pod to save me, all because I went after this stupid thing," Leo exclaimed, shoving the Key into Casey's chest.

Casey was amazed. "You got it! Nice!"

"'Nice'? They captured Raph!" Leo shouted. His eyes grew wide, coming to a realization. "He's from the future! He knew this would happen!"

"Leo, I don't think he did," Cairo said, taking Casey's side.

"No, I didn't. This didn't happen in my time," Casey said. "We changed the past, and you got the Key. That means there's still a chance to stop them!" He said hopefully.

"No, we have to save Raph. Come on," Leo stubbornly said.

"Leo, wait," Donnie and Vee pleaded.

"If you won't come, I'll go myself."

Donnie, Vee, Cairo, and Mikey exchanged worried glances.

Leo tries to swing his swords, but his Hamato Ninpō doesn't respond to his attempts to activate it. The red eared slider grunted in pain as a blue and red light shuttered around him along with his swords.

"Leo!" Vee rushed to his side, but he shrugged it off.
"I'm fine."

"We've lost our mystic powers," Donnie explained.
"We don't have a plan," said Mikey.

"We don't need a plan," said Leo. "Remember? I'm the greatest ninja the world's ever seen, his words." He pointed at Casey.

"Shouldn't we talk about this before we run off all half-cocked, willy-nilly, pell-mell?" Donnie suggested.

"Look, I keep being told I'm doing this hero thing wrong. But I got the Key, didn't I? I get results, so now we're doing it my way," Leo told everyone.

By now, Ellie was awake. She leaned on Vee for support, as she had a headache.

Splinter spoke up. "My son, listen to your team. This is not about you."

"They made it about me when they took my brother. Trust me, I got this. Donnie, you're driving," Leo ordered.

"What do we do with this?" April held up the Key.

Casey thought for a minute. "We can't just bring it with us, but we can't just leave it behind."

April smirked. "Then we should destroy it. Splints and I will stay here and take care of business."
