Rose Evans-
Rose Katerina Evans is a beautiful, homely girl. She is very intelligent and excels at everything she puts her mind to. However, she has a very protective father. Rose's mother died in a car accident when she was only 3 years old. Ever since then, her father has tried to keep her away from everything that might be harmful in the world. He has kept her homeschooled her whole entire life, so she has never been in a social environment. She is only let out of the house every now and then for certain holidays and in the summertime, but she has plenty to do in her house. She is a painter and she has a whole art studio to herself. Her father has an enormous library in the house. She loves to read. But still, Rose was impatient for her 18th birthday to come. Every year, she would ask her father when she would be able to go out into the rest of the world. He always told her, "When you turn 18, you will be able to go any place that you choose." She looked forward to every birthday because it meant that she was one year closer to her freedom.
