Chapter 2

EREN'S POV

"What is going on?" I thought to myself. I opened my eyes but couldn't see anything, everything was black and blurred, several dark figures moving around me,"Where's the Boss? He should be here! What did you tell him?!" A man was yelling.

I began to shake, tears falling as the darkness scared me,"I told him we had something here that he would like to see, and that we had several important questions to ask him! Is that wrong?! Cause we do!" Another yelled back.

My head fell as tears slipped from my eyes,"Oh? Look who's awake." Someone hissed. I quickly looked up, a tall dark figure coming close,"Ahh!!! No!!" I screamed, trying to pull my hands up to cover my eyes, only to find them chained behind me.

"What's wrong with him?" The man asked, confusion and laughter spilling from his voice,"He can't see. He doesn't have his glasses on. I wonder what he sees." A man from across the room explained. The guy in front of me laughed and said,"Probably nothing. But thats a good thing. Know he doesn't know what we look like."

"P-please...d-don't hurt me." I begged softly. He huffed and said,"Only if you tell us what you were doing with the Boss." My teeth clenched as I heard that word again,"Who is this Boss!? I don't even know him!!" I screamed out, the chains clinking as I jumped forward.

"Feisty huh, well...you do know. He was carrying you just the other day." He snickered. I looked up shocked,"Y-you mean the guy who saved me...i-is you're Boss?" I asked. He chuckled and said,"So you do remember? What did he look like?"

I frowned and said,"I don't know. My glasses got broken so I couldn't see..." The man huffed and said,"Figures, let's just hope he doesn't remember you too. He would feel ashamed to find out you don't remember him, the one who saved you're life."

I looked away, trying not to see the dark figure any longer,"What the hell did you call me here so early for?" Someone hissed. I looked up slightly, a small dark, blurry figure could be seen coming from a bright entry way,"Huh-Oi?! What the hell is this?!" He yelled. I jumped back at his anger when he suddenly ran over to a man, their figures coming together only for the other to fall to the ground.

"Why did you do this to him?!" He yelled, his voice seeming to be in rage. The one on the ground looked up and said,"He's trouble Boss. And you know it. His father is our rival!" I thought for a second,"Erwin?" 

The man next to me and said,"Yeah, Erwin. If he knew Levi had brought you home...he would have killed him. Boss is part of our Mafia group and we don't need Erwin coming after us....they used to be good friends."

"He has nothing to do with this! He's just some stupid kid I saved from getting hurt! Erwin is the one who you hate, not him!! Keep him out of it!" He yelled. I felt a slight pang in my chest when he said that,"Some stupid kid." I whispered. There was a low chuckle from the man beside me and I scowled, standing up quickly, my chained hands hurting as I pushed off the concrete ground.

"Oi brat. Stay down." The man hissed. I looked over to him before heading for the bright entrance,"That has to be the way out." I thought to myself. I just walked, not even caring, but when the man grabbed the chain that connected my hands, I spun back and yelled,"Let go of me you brute!"

I guess that was a mistake because I was punched and thrown to the ground, the taste of blood filling the back of my throat,"Oi!! What did I say!!" The man named Levi yelled. I looked up as he ran towards the man who hit me and punched him, making him fall to the floor by the wall. As he stood there, I looked up at him, tears threatening to fall,"Why? Why did you be nice to me if you knew this would happen?" I asked softly.

There was silence as he looked over slowly,"Wha-" He started,"Why were you nice to me!? I didn't ask for it!!!" I yelled, sitting up in anger,"Just....just leave me alone. I'll tell my father to let it pass, but just...leave me alone!"
