Body in the abyss, Heart in paradise.
A cruel saying but why is it twisted.
It's much more common to have the heart in the abyss.
The heart can be capricious and sometimes we're at its folly.
I felt like I was drowning but now I stand in a shallow current.
The water wears away at my feet and ankles, my tears don't fill the riverbank,
Because it's my heart in the abyss, so far removed from my body that I can't feel the water,
Anymore. Heaven and earth inverted, the rivers of paradise in the world, and the world's
sorrows inside, I have an understanding but what can you do when understanding is just that.
Headspace consumed, time spent, yet the hearts in the abyss so how can the body move.
The river still flows and its height changes, it doesn't matter anymore.
