the timeline for this story will be set in
october. zela will have lived there for
about a year now, and she's still living in
the loft for privacy.
00. as senior year rolls around for zela howard,
she hadn't realized exactly how much she missed
her younger sister. she had to go to school without
her, which was the first time in her life since they
moved in with the other. it was a slap of reality for
her. and the worst part? cole and zela had what she
thought was a relationship, but once the two started
their senior year together after danny had left, he
acted as if they weren't dating or anything. just merely
roommates.
01. this caused a shift in their "friendship" as she
now hangs out with alex as they didn't necessarily
get along at first, but both of them realized how much
they missed jackie. but soon, katherine suggested that
zela get a job to start saving up for college, since she
didn't necessarily have money to go to college anyways.
zela refused to use the money her dead parents left her
as it was one of the last things she received from them.
she could never bring herself to spend it.
02. as zela began working at a coffee shop that
was about thirty minutes away from where she
lived, she refused to work anywhere local as she
didn't want people she knew distracting her from
her work. as she began working there, she befriended
the coworker scott, as they bonded over moving from
a big city to a small town. he moved from seattle, and
she was from new york.
