Warning: Platonic with romantic tension

I lay in the center of my flower field, the cool moonlight lighting up my silhouette. The dark trees surround the flowers in a large circle, creating a sense of privacy and intimacy.

"Hey." A soft masculine voice approaches me from the distance. "Hey." I look up to see a distinguished young boy with sandy brown hair and chocolate eyes standing over me. "Take my crown again?" I comment as I recognize the golden crown gleaming on his head. "Maybe." He chuckles softly as he lays himself next to me.

"I missed you, Mist." He whispers, taking my hand in his. I couldn't help but lean closer to him. "Or should I say I "mist" you." He giggles cheekily. I roll my eyes and smile softly. "Nice to see you too, Sinister." I punch his arm playfully. "You know..." His voice trails as he stares at the glittering stars. A soft smile spreads across his face before turning to look at me. "What?" I smile brightly back at him.

"Have you ever tried to count the amount of stars in the sky?" He lifts his arm to the sky, tracing a constellation with his finger. I giggle and look up at the stars with eyes filled with wonder. "I prefer to admire them." I comment, letting my head rest gently against a light purple iris. He drops his arm to his side and sighs softly in response.

"I get why you like to come out here." He says after a pause. "It's quiet and hidden." He shakes his head slightly as he chuckles. "Kinda like you." He adds. "What does that mean?" I speak in a hushed tone. "You're quiet and reserved." He replies in a playful tone. "It's adorable." He whispers teasingly. "Just shut up, Sini." I reply, covering my face with my hands. He laughs and peers back to the sky.

"Sini?" I ask in a soft voice. "Yeah?" He grabs my hand, the moonlight lighting up our faces brighter. "Do you ever wonder if we have met in another lifetime?" I smooth out the wrinkles in my flowy crimson red dress. He squeezes my hand tighter. "I believe we have." He smiles softly, his eyes filled with admiration. "Maybe you're a prince in that one." I adjust the crown on his head. "Then maybe we could live the life we always dreamed of." He takes a hold of my hand as I touch a spike of the crown.

"That would be nice." A soft blush dusts my cheeks, enraptured by the soft moment. "Yeah..." A soft smile spreads across his lips.
