In a small town in the outskirts, a small cabin stood firm. There, it housed a trio of people. There was an old man with a pervy attitude yet was also a god, Zeus. Alfia, a young looking woman with an attitude and Bell Cranel, a young boy with a dream to be a hero. Currently, said little boy is being scolded for a perfectly reasonable problem.

Alfia: Those eyes are just the same as his. If only I could just gouge them out.

Bell: *Scared* HIII!!

As scared as he was, this was such a common occurrence that he asked her why she hated his eyes.

Bell: Mom, w-why do you hate my eyes?

Alfia's own eyes widened as she realized what she was doing again.

Alfia: *Sighing* It isn't your fault Bell. I pin it all on your good-for-nothing Father. At least it was the only thing you inherited from him.

Bell: *Looking down* Is that why you're usually not happy?

Alfia: What?

The boy twiddled his thumbs as an idea came to his mind.

Bell: If... if they disappeared, would that make you feel better?

Alfia: Bell...

Years later...

Bright and early one morning, Zeus came out of his room to see what his boy had cooking up this time.

Zeus: *Yawn* Morning...

Bell: Good morning, grandpa. Here. Breakfast is done.

In the kitchen, Bell came out with some food. While the apron he wore felt normal, the blindfold he wore was anything but. Ever since that day, Bell grew a resentment for his own eyes since it caused one of the few family he loved to be uncomfortable. Therefore, he took matters into his own hands and now wears the blindfold everywhere. Now 14, he lives in a world that is similar and different to everyone around him.

Zeus: *Eating* Mm! You've gotten much better, my boy! I remember when you would bump around into everything back in the day.

Bell chuckled lightly.

Bell: Y-You don't have to remind me about that.

Zeus: Regardless, how much longer is that woman gonna take? You're supposed to leave this afternoon.

Right on cue, Alfia opened the bathroom door and walked out.

Alfia: Just because I'm retired doesn't mean my hearing is gone you old fool.

Zeus: I know. Now, come and join us. This is Bell's last morning before he moves to his new life.

Alfia: *Smiles* Right.

She quickly joined them at the table and the three ate together.

Zeus: So Bell, are you nervous? Orario is a big city.

Bell: To be honest, I am a little nervous.

Alfia: The adjustment will be hard at first, but we all have faith that you'll manage. Besides, I'm only one letter away if you need it.

Bell: But wouldn't that cause trouble for you? I mean, Uncle was a criminal.

Alfia: Only by necessity. Lord Erebus simply needed a hand in jumpstarting the world. I only stayed behing because of a promise I made to your mother.

Zeus: Even so, I must say that it's a noble decision you're making, Bell. Most wish to be a hero for the fame and glory. Yours is more of a sense of duty so to speak.
