The end of their first day as real doctors was finally approaching. Amy and Miguel leaned against their lockers, exhaustion etched on their faces, waiting for their friends to join them in the locker room. It had been a day filled with new experiences, challenges, and a rollercoaster of emotions as they transitioned from medical students to professionals.

Suddenly, Mike and Ellie burst in, locked in a heated argument.

"I told you it was in room 306, not 309!" Ellie exclaimed, her red hair flowing around her shoulders with each gesture.

"And I told you the map was confusing!" Mike shot back, his annoyance evident.

Amy and Miguel exchanged a knowing look, rolling their eyes. Just behind them, Liam strolled in, shaking his head at the pair.

"Do you two ever stop?" Liam asked, rolling his eyes too.

Ellie glared at him. "We wouldn't have to argue if someone could read a map properly."

Mike threw up his hands in mock surrender. "Okay, okay. My bad. I'll take a map-reading class or something."

"Hey, hey. What's going on now?" Miguel interjected, trying to calm them down.

"I ended up in the wrong room, and it was the most embarrassing moment of my life thanks to this idiot," Ellie said, slapping the back of Mike's head.

Miguel laughed, crossing his arms over his chest. He looked at Mike. "I thought you were a pro."

"Shut up. It was just a mistake, no need to freak out," Mike said, rolling his eyes before turning to Ellie. "You're crazy."

"And you're stupid!" Ellie shot back.

Mike mimicked her voice, saying, "And you're stupid, blah-blah..."

Ellie shoved Mike, causing him to stumble into Liam. Liam raised his hands defensively. "Hey, chill out. I didn't do anything."

Miguel grabbed Ellie by the shoulders and pulled her away from Mike. "Can you pull yourself together?" he asked.

Mike chuckled softly as he made his way towards his locker, where Amy was casually leaning. Noticing she seemed lost in thought, he gently brushed the back of her hand with his finger, prompting her to raise her gaze and meet his with a curious expression.

"Are you alright?" Mike inquired with a chuckle and a furrowed brow. "I know you're usually the shy, quiet type, but I expected you to be the most thrilled after today."

Amy chuckled softly, her eyes following Mike as he gathered his things from his locker. She hesitated, nervously playing with one of her rings before finally speaking in a quiet, shy voice, "Um, Miguel and I spent the whole day with Niall. It was really cool."

Mike smirked, nodding as he listened to his friend. "Yeah, that kid's a little genius," he replied.

Liam tossed his white coat into his locker with a sigh. "Well, you wanna know what Ellie and I did? Absolutely nothing. Fucking bullshit. We just sat there, watching a surgery that dragged on forever."

"But I was lucky enough to see Jackson Avery!" Ellie exclaimed, jumping up and grabbing Amy's hands. The two launched into an excited fangirl moment over their friend's uncle.

"So, what's he like? Does he smell good? How green are his eyes?" Amy bombarded her with questions, while the three boys looked on with expressions of mild disgust.

Liam pinched the bridge of his nose in exasperation. "My god..."

"First of all, gross!" Mike exclaimed, scrunching up his nose in mock disgust. "Second of all, if you really wanted to see him, you could have just asked Liam. He could've arranged it for you easily."
