🎵Thirty yrs you've been dragging my feet telling me am the reason were stagnant 🎵
I woke up to my alarm, playing a song from my favorite artist, Hope. I got up, went to the bathroom and did my morning routine. I left my room and was met with an oddly quiet house, normally I would wake up to Nicholas and Natasha arguing or father trying to calm them down.
I went to the kitchen and as expected it was empty. I went to the fridge to get a glass of water , reaching the fridge I find a sticky on it. I picked it up and read
letter
Chloe, I went to work early, Nicholas has football practice and Natasha went out with her friends, so find something to eat, but keep the house clean, my boss and his wife are coming over at seven so get the house clean before then.
End of letter
*sigh* his boss is coming over that's a new one. I thought as I opened the fridge the fridge to see if I could cook anything for myself, it was empty except for the left over chicken lasagna we ate yesterday. I sighed 'if I don't go shopping no one will' I thought while taking out the lasagna and putting in the microwave, I sat on a stool waiting for the lasagna to get ready.
Just then my phone pinged, I took it out to see it was a notification from Nikolai , my best friend , my childhood best friend since I was four, I don't remember how I met him but I know we met in a car and then we became friends. But that's a story for another day, now back to the message
(C-chloe, N-Nikolai)
N- Hey Winnie, how's ya doing
C-stop calling me that.
He knows I hate that name, it's my middle name, it sounds so weird.
N- oh come on Winnie, I know you love it
It's true but only when he says it, but I will never admit it
C- No I don't, anyway how's Italy life
He moved to Italy 2yrs back, I still miss him
N- boring without you
That made me blush, no Chloe he's just your friend, nothing more, nothing less
C- I bet
N-i wish you could move here
C- me too, but there's no point asking father he won't even spare me a glance
N- sorry Winnie
C- don't be
N- okay but still if I could get you out i will
C- I know
N - I have to go
C- okay bye.
I sighed in content, talking to Kai always makes me feel better, suddenly I smelt something burn, shit the lasagna, I cursed as I rushed to the microwave, but I was too late the lasagna was already burnt.I went upstairs and got changed for the day as I was still in my pj's. I got changed into a black hoodie Kai gave me and paired it with my black ripped jeans, for jewelry, I wore me Kai's friendship necklace and the necklace I had since birth. The pendant was a heart with a sword going through it with the letter "D" engraved on it. Anyway, for makeup I put on a little mascara and lipgloss since I was just staying at home. I then wear my flip flops and go downstairs. I started cleaning but then I got bored. So I turned on the speakers and blasted all of NF's sings while singing, dancing and cleaning. Did I mention I love dancing, well I do. I once asked father if I could go to a dance school but he told me he didn't have money, but apparently he was rich enough to give Natasha three hundred dollars to go shopping with her friends. I cried all night that day and when I confronted him the next day about it he just told me to be grateful I have a roof over my head, so that's what I did I became grateful and started taking care of most of my expenses by walking dogs, but I could never afford enough to go to the school so I pushed that dream aside. I was done cleaning so I decided to take a little nap.
a little girl was in her Mama's lap munching on cookies and looking at the dandelion field in front of them the talked and giggled together they were so happy.
"I love you mama" the little girl said, her mama looked at her smiling just then a look of pain came across her Mama's face and then everything went dark she could only see her mama and the man carrying her away, there was blood everywhere, her Mama's blood the little girl thrashed and screamed but nothing, the man took her out of the car and tossed her in the car, everything then turned black.
I woke with a fright, what was that dream about and who was that girl and her mum. I need a glass of water. I looked at my phone and saw it was five forty, father would soon get home.
I went downstairs and saw Natasha chilling on the couch watching a movie or something.
"Hey Natasha" i said casually, but nothing, she didn't reply
"You know father would soon be back" I said again hoping she won't ignore me like always, but again nothing
I sighed and went to the kitchen
and saw Nicholas.
"Hi Nicholas" I said, Nicholas looked up at me, which made me happy but on seeing me , he just got up and left, that hurt but I'm used to it now.
"Girl, Dad said you should make dinner, there's some food stuff in the kitchen" I heard Natasha yell
I didn't bother to reply, so I started cooking.
After a long time i heared the front door opening.
"Kids I'm home"
