CHAPTER 34

There was one thing that Lanecea had in spades and that was vision. She had so much vision that her brain cells spun like a top but it was putting everything into action, and striking back at the vampires while trying her best to be a good girl at all times that seemed to make it mission impossible. That - and everything else - was about to change as Lanecea crouched down on the grass, creating an impromptu command centre outdoors for the benefit of her centaur army who couldn't enter the nursery.

"We need these men in our alliance. Their loyalty to their country and ancestors is fierce but they have become traitors simply because of the duplicity of the vampires. Once they discover the truth about the vampires' agenda, it is game over. The only issue is there may be backfire if I mess with history too much...I'm sure there will be repercussions if we cheat death en masse, therefore I have been very selective in which men to save this month. Once we know that we can be successful, that may change when we return to Poland in December... For now, however, I am focused on high-ranking traitors and believe we can save each of them if we are strategic. Here is the list I have begun to compile - I have almost completed it. Wolfstein is insistent that I remain focused on Brussels and the nest of vampires we believe to be gathering reinforcements right...." Lani pointed to a map, "...here."

Lanecea may be winded, but she was just getting started as she passed Storm her partial list of names, leaving her agenda quite literally in his hands. She was still every inch a priestess, but at that moment was releasing the pressure from her brain and trusting Storm to lead the charge, or do as he wished with the information flowing from her cranium at neck-breaking speed.

"No one will suspect priestesses in a billion years and the Angels of Death have proven themselves as well. I have my ladies ready and waiting, should they be needed. Of course, they will need their husbands' permission first and must be home in time to prepare supper, etc, but they are loyal and will follow instructions. You can count on them. With that being said, once the slaves accept their fate and catch the vision, I believe they will be a force to be reckoned with as well. The network of allies must be constantly expanding while keeping under the radar. These men will be loyal once they realize we are all fighting for the same thing...

My hybrid...I intend to use him to infiltrate. He will be trusted but must be well-trained first. His loyalty to me must be without question. Ignacy is my secret weapon and will be instrumental in training other hybrids that I will be collecting. There is a seedy underworld I intend to inject my hybrids into. That underworld is run by elite vampires who, to date, have remained untouchable. Everyone has a weakness and kink is theirs - and money, of course.

My King, the children need you. We all need you. If I can generate enough income from this project...well, it would free you up to do other things you truly enjoy. Yes, I love your cock cages and would love for you to make chastity belts as well, but my collection will take time to accrue, so if you like, you can take your time in creating these devices - like a hobby. There is no pressure.

Wolfstein has me here to route out the nest of vampires, but I felt that securing more allies was fundamental to our success. That's why I haven't been completely focused on this mission. I have time before the key vampires will make their next move - at least that is where my head is at. If we have more backing us, we can strike hard and fast, making up for lost time. We need to establish teams, I believe - strike teams.

I need Thorson at my side. It is a fact that I stay more on track when we are together as he keeps my brain aligned and I have someone to talk with - to discuss things with before I am completely overwhelmed. May he stay, please? I need Revna as well. I cannot possibly train all these slaves on my own and she has a stronger personality, so will have far more success, I believe, with both male and female slaves.

It is important to me that people are not lost to history - that is one of my own missions that I am working on while following Wolfstein's orders. I can't let it distract me from my key mission, but I see that as a benefit to his plan. It will be too obvious if the demographics in each town were to shift dramatically - people will know if their towns are suddenly sparse. If the vampires are replaced with trusted breeders, they will not only fight back against the agenda but be like...I don't know...holding spots? Pegs? Decoys? I'm not sure what word to use, but it will give us time to distract the common from what is taking place beneath their noses.

I have vision in spades and know what my mission is, but perhaps, because I am a priestess, I am overwhelmed. Here, My King, is everything I have been working on."

Lanecea looked up at Storm for a moment, passing him a thick file before drawing a map along with diagrams, illustrating to the best of her ability when words finally failed her. Lani was focused as she emptied the pressure within her skull, passing Storm paper after paper when she had filled both sides, then sat back on the grass with a sigh.

"I trust you."

Lanecea was at peace the moment she left everything, quite literally, at Storm's feet.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

I wrote this chapter last night but saved it as a draft. I wasn't sure if I would publish it or not but it was important to me while I was writing to really work through things and put my vision on paper before I face today. As I was writing, I felt increasingly at peace with the knowledge that Storm and Lanecea are not just incredible when breeding and ruling together in their kingdoms etc, but I believe that Storm truly understands her and now that she has given him everything that is on her mind and weighing heavily on her shoulders, he will lead with wisdom and justice and all will be well. Lanecea can take a deep breath and just trust as she watches her "rock that is wiser than I" make things fall into place as he sets the world straight, backed by their allies.

Lani is far from finished, however, but she is safe at his feet, striking at their enemies without being in the forefront. She has a priestess's heart and is exactly where she should be: protected, cherished, and led.

All is well...for now. :D
