Chapter 1: Sticks and Stones

It was of August 6th 2015 Shona was Walking through Tokyo, Not in a single way worried that he hasn’t found a high school to enroll into. Not like any school would accept him, he basically has no control of his magic. Which makes sense, he never practiced either. He walks through some of the streets and sees people using magic to help them decorate their stores, and homes. He sighs as he continues walking through until he bumps into a woman.

      “Hey! Watch where your goi-“ The woman said but she realized he was just a kid. She just continued walking as Shona said to himself

      “Bitch you walked into me” he sighs as he continues walking until someone calls out to him from an alleyway

      “Hey kid come here for a second” the voice said. Shona had no regards for if it was a serial killer or not. He walked into the alleyway and saw a cat. “Would you like to enroll in a magic high school?” The cat said with a mischievous grin.
    
      “And why would you like to enroll me? I basically have no control of my magic“ Shona said to the cat,

     “let’s just say I have a way of finding potential in someone”

     “But why me exactly?”

     “Like I said, I can see someone’s potential, ah wait it must be weird looking at a cat” the cat transforms into its human form “I’m Zuko, founder and professor at Shinoma The most secret magic school of the world”

     “Guess that answers why I never heard of it.” Shona says as he leans against a wall “Still don’t know why you’re asking me, and I’m going to say this once, 1. I have no magic control, 2. I’m nothing special just below average, I don’t want your sorry excuse of ‘I cAn FiNd PoTeNtAl In PeOpLe’ ” as Shona says this Zuko lets out a small chuckle

     “Still I’d recommend you to join the school, not like you’re going to get in any other one” Zuko disappears into the shadows as Shona is just unfazed. He sighs as he walks back out of the alleyway. He grumbles to himself

     “You condescending b*tch, you just had to rub in you had teleportation magic huh?” He continues to walk through the streets until he notices something in his pocket, that damn cat/professor put a Pamphlet of the school in his pocket. Shona sighed as he sat down on a bench and started reading it. But all it was is just coordinates.

     Shona pulled out his phone and went onto google maps and put the coordinates in. It was a small island in the Pacific Ocean. Which is most likely where the school is hidden at. He placed the paper back in his pocket and realized “This bastard made sure that he was the only school I could go to before I found a different one…. Fucking bitch, limiting my options” he sighs as he crumbles up the paper and throws it into a garbage can across the street. “I guess I’ll go check it out, just to see if I want to go there.” He says as he sits up. He starts walking to a dock at the Pacific Ocean just off the coast of Tokyo. It’s going to be a long walk.

                            – Time skip, 5 hours –

     Shona finally made it to the coast of Japan now all he needs is to find a boat he can rent to make it to the said coordinates. He finds a small dock with a boat tied to it with a small house near it, he knocks on the door.

     “Who is it?” The man asks

     “The name Is Shona Harikin, I'm wondering if I can buy your boat you have docked? I have money”

     “Sure it's going to cost you some though” the man said as he opens the door “Exactly 51566.90 Japanese yen”

      Shona thinks to himself “that's almost all the money I have damnit” Shona hands the man the money and the guy hands the keys to Shona, and closes the door. He walks over to the dock and unties the rope and gets in the boat, it's a small motor boat that can fit 2-3 people. He puts the key in the ignition and turns it on, he then grabs his phone and puts on Google maps to direct him. He then starts to drive the boat.

     After a while of driving, he sees a island in the distance, he parks the boat next to it and gets on the island and slams a large branch into the ground and ties the boat with the rope to the branch in the ground so it doesn't move, he continues to walk into the island and sees a wooden shack, Shona thinks “that cat fucker got my hopes up…” he walks up to the shack and opens it. It's like in movies, the door leads to a long hallway “The fuck?” Shona says to himself as he walks in it. It's like a medieval hallway and once he reaches the end he's on a large island where he sees a castle that has a giant sign that says ‘Shinoma, The school of the Great’ as he reads this Shona thinks “guess he didn't fuck me over”

    Shona walks around this fantasy-like island “So this is how the school is hidden, by a small wooded shack that acts like a portal? I absolutely hate magic now..." He says as he finds a path and follows along with it. He ends up at the entrance of the school and then Zuko walks up to him

     “So you decided to join the school?” Zuko says with a grin.

     “I'm just checking out the school to see if I want to join, not because I am” Shona replies to Zuko

     “Well since you know the location of the school it's kinda a forced enrollment” a student walks by and says

     “Don't be surprised that's how about half of us got stuck here, and he does stupid bs all the time” then the student walks away as Shona is about to say something but then gets interrupted by Zuko

     “Follow me to your dorm please” Zuko says as he hands Shona his class schedule. Zuko then says “Also there is no Uniform, just wear the school pin on a piece of clothing.” He hands Shona the pin and Shona puts it on his jacket.

     “You mother fu-“

     “I’d try my best not to swear here, some teachers and students find it offensive” Zuko warns

     “Still, you forced me here” Shona replies as he follows Zuko “So how long will it take to get to my dorm and what floor is it on and what’s the room number?”

     “I know I forced you here, also you are on floor 4 room 9. One of the nicer dorms because it’s one you can stay at by yourself without roommates. Also here’s your schedule for this semester.” Zuko hands Shona a white piece of paper.

     “Why don’t I see any normal classes, it’s all mana/magic training, self defense, fighting, and the only normal one gym?”

     “We aren’t a typical school, you will study common core classes on your own time. These classes help one to become the best of sorcerers.” Zuko explains as they make it to the fourth floor. “Also you really need the first based off of our first meeting, you need to practice magic. Almost every child’s dream is to become the best but from what you said, you hated magic, and you never practiced it, I wonder why?”

     “That’s none of your concern, I’m not telling you any tiny information that you don’t need to know. I have my reasons… but they’re in the past now”

     “Alright if you say so” Zuko hands Shona the hey to his room “here is room 9, get comfortable, orientation is in a week so get used to the layout of the building before it so you know where the classes are at”

     After that, Zuko leaves Shona to himself, he walks into his dorm. It’s relatively big, but only enough for about 1.5 people to live in, there is a bed, a TV, and a small kitchen. “He did say it was a dorm without roommates probably because there isn’t enough room” Shona thought to himself.
